I actually use auto to plan my route but fly manually, using bookmarks instead.

Eve is in a good spot right now, but most of the things that you mentioned can still be annoying. Ganking still exists, but its not hard to move expensive stuff around if you’re careful.

First, don’t make yourself a target. Fit T2 buffer refits to your marauder, and put the bling in a cargo container. Those can’t be scanned, and will keep you safer. I would recommend looking up the gankers own calculations of EHP:isk and stay under

Second, you can MWD+Cloak trick off most gates. Yes its obvious you are being careful, but still hard to catch you. I move around a lot of isk like that in HS, never been ganked.

Third, battleships have a frigate escape bay now. Can’t take most covops, but you can put an Astero with expanders and buffer in there, dock your marauder, and do your shopping with a sneaky frigate.

Best of luck, eve is thriving right now, and rewards the bold and clever.
