If you were cautious, you would not have used a noob ship. A kill is a kill. And since Eve is mostly a game of statistics, that is all that counts for some. Or just the giggles. All valid reasons.
Except it may be your misconception that there has to be a reason this has happened. It has not. It was monday and someone felt like it. You gave opportunity. You could have avoided to give opportunity. You can avoid next time to give opportunity.
No need to start lenghty forum threads for morality after a ship loss. A discussion of game mechanics to resolve this would have been an acceptable thing, but with your first post you directly jumped into morality instead of mechanics.
A noob will not have expensive implants. So the problem will not arise. And if you are an experienced player with expensive implants you would know which ships to use to survive and not sit in a corvette.
Finally while it is possible that a noob flies with a corvette to Jita and gets shot, then something was learned and not much lost. A noob ship replaces without cost. And it even is only a low fraction of noobs who would even end up in this situation as most starter systems are not near Jita, but close to other trade hubs.
So in the end you are no noob anymore, but chose to do something without thinking and you got bitten. Then you started thinking afterwards and came to the wrong conclusions to justify your rant by citing possibily affected noobs as an excuse to ask for a mechanics change of the whole game.
Except noobs are not affected and the fault has been with you. The noobs even learn it in the tutorial how to lose a corvette and how to replace it. I told you already above that you might need to do the tutorial to learn of the ways of the noobs. In this regard i suppose they have an advantage over your knowledge of the game.
Losing the noob ship wasnāt important to me. I just wanted to scout the area. By the way, I found the med bay. I forgot where it was because I havenāt played for a long time. So, itās very naive of you to think that I was upset about losing a ship that wasnāt worth anything. Iāll add that my altās pod was also killed. So, there was a real danger of losing the implants. You again advise me not to start a topic about morality. Refrain from giving advice to people whose goals you do not know. I have several goals. First, I really believe that this game is immoral, and I am interested in knowing why. Second, I am answering in English, although it is not my native language. This way I practice, since I may need it in the future. Thirdly, I am studying your community because I am curious to find out your intellectual level. And also your moral level, as you may have noticed. But I am already tired of this topic, because I really have not met interesting interlocutors. I think I will not answer anymore, or only to messages that really interest me.
Right, thanks for nothing. My fault for wasting my lifetime in this thread. I was not worthy to take part in this discussion above my intellectual level. Sorry again!
Corporations and Alliances: CCP promotes player organization into corporations and alliances, fostering a sense of community and collaborative gameplay.
Social Dynamics: The gameās design encourages social interaction, cooperation, competition, and even betrayal among players.
Community-Driven Development: CCP actively engages with the player community, incorporating feedback and suggestions into game updates and expansions.
In essence, CCP Games built EVE Online to be a unique, player-driven MMO experience where the actions of individuals and groups have lasting consequences within a single, shared virtual universe
The developers are inconsistent. They should have added that the game encourages conflicts between players that arise on the basis of betrayal. And they should have allowed insults, since this is inevitable against the background of betrayal. For some reason, some immoral actions are prohibited, while others, no less serious, are allowed. Thatās all I wanted to know about this game.
I stopped feeling sorry for you a long time ago. Guess Iām not moral. I donāt care about your game anymore than you care about anyone elseās. I guess we are both immoral.
I have just read up on how EVE Echoes went into the trashcan can due to this. No PVP in highsec, botting mechanics included in the game mechanics and automatic ship replacements means the industry is completely pointless and nonexistent, isk is completely worthless and all things beyond that require you to invest real life money.
I donāt agree with how the current mechanics are. But my stance on it doesnāt require much change at all, certainly not giving out free ships⦠I mean that in itself is more open for ganking. There are many aspects to this, itās just a bit out of balance atm. The op appears to be going more on a ⦠itās bad for humanity to entertain bad morals in a game approach. From a logical sense they are not necessarily wrong, but this game wasnāt designed for that, well definitely in lo/null sec. But Hi Sec⦠the least they could do is drop the tax in the station fees if they actually are not going to have the protection from the sov/concord. The risk vs reward of ganking is near none for the those that do it in groups. The gank mechanic is unbalanced in hi sec and needs slight tweaking, more so they could do what existed in the past, and just open up better and more rewarding venues of isk for those wanting to have pvp in Hi Sec.
Iād be very surprised if the amount of players that get ganked exceeded 1% on any given day. Thatās not enough to have any effect on the economy. Iād find it easier to believe that more miners lose their ships to Diamond NPCs.
