I want the previous mud flinging of whether complete safe space in eve is beneficial or not.

And the mere THOUGHT of 1/3 of the game gank free,leaving STILL 2/3 as it is an imposition to those people.

For reasons i do not understand.

What is the reason for only 1/3 of the space being safe? Why not have all the space be safe?

Because i and all that support me are not against pvp,not at all…all we want is a safe place for non pvp’ers where they can roam undisturbed…

I even suggested one time that high can be stripped of everything beside lvl 1-4 missions and mining,but even that was ‘too much’…

This leads me to the conclusion,after witnessing this for a while,that it’s not ME who is the problem here.

All they want is keeping the status as it is…they don’t want a ‘better’ eve…they want their eve even at the cost of the game dimishing.

But what if I want to roam all space undisturbed? Am I not allowed to do that?

If parts of space are safe, why do you limit me in other parts? What is the reason behind that?

You actually would have CHOSEN to be in pvp or not pvp free space…at this point for non-pvp’ers there is no ‘choice’.

It’s really simple…choose what you want and how much risk you are willing to face.

But give people a choice.

So how would this work? Do I choose when I create my character?

Is this just two separate servers?

Automatic non pvp flagging in high…

You still would have duels,so even there pvp wouldn’t be ‘dead’.

Not much work for the devs just no unwanted pew pew pew possible in 1.0-0.5

But what if I want to pvp in high? Didn’t you say that I choose whether to pvp or not? I just got a bit confused, since you say automatic non-pvp flag.

Can you in more detail explain how this choice would work? Do one make this choice at character creation?

You cannot pvp in high beside of duels that’s the whole point of this :stuck_out_tongue:

If you WANT pvp out of duels you have to go to pvp sections of the game,which still would be 2/3 of the server as i stated.

But didn’t you just say I choose whether to pvp or not?

Again, I think I’m getting stuff confused here. Can you please explain a bit more in detail, how this choice is made?

Sounds like he’s advocating a system like World of Warcraft put in several years ago.

WoW used to have separate PVP and PVE servers, but PVP was still available on PVE servers; it’s just that on PVE servers, your “flag” was off by default. That wasn’t good enough for many carebears, because there were ways that this flag could get switched on, all of them through the laziness and inattention of the player. And then many non-PVPrs began playing on PVP servers, because the best PVE guilds often congregated on certain high-population PVP servers, Those players hated what they called the “non-consensual” PVP.

The crying went on for years and years until Blizzard caved in and removed all PVP servers, and instituted a system where you have to go to a specific place and physically turn on PVP. This takes the player to an entirely different shard for the rest of the general population, where only players who want to PVP are. Of course, people still complain that this mythical “non-consensual” PVP happens to them.

The whole thing is madness, really.

I’m not really taking sides in this debate. Just trying to figure his point of view, since he is clearly very passionate about it.

The questions I asked, were to genuinely better understand his arguments.

With CCP stating that the economical system is currently in a bad spot cause of income being too high, I eventually wanted to get his take on what effect a safe space would have on this.

No, you are just too narrow minded with the term. EVE is not a single player sandbox but a competitive massive multiplayer sandbox.

Ok so MINE,because in MY version nothing beside low ores and loot from lvl 1-4 missions is produced in high…

Remember i said that high should be stripped of anything beside lvl1-4 missions and the current mineable roids?
So the highest ore mineable in high would be kernite as it is now,but nothing else would be possible,no incursions,no invasions no conduits,nothing,not even PI.

So… only the third most valuable ore in the game… And you want to wreck the gameplay of how many other people who have spent time and effort forming communities in EVE just to satisfy your vision as well… Hmmm…
This just shows how selfish you really are that you want to destroy everyone else’s gameplay.
