T5 Exotic Abyssal Sites in Gila *Update* Resistance Nerf "mid 2020"

Hi capsuleers!

A quick update to my previous post see at ISK/Hour stats after running 44 T5 Exotic Abyssal Sites in Gila

As you may or may not know CCP nerfed the Resistances of all active modules therefore slightly different modification/approach are necessarily to the fits and and game play.

Before the nerf you would have 70% EM resistance with the in the Gila with 2x Pithum C-Type Multispectrum Shield Hardener and now you have only 62% EM resistance with them…

Before the nerf you would have 76% EM resistance with the in the Gila with 2x Pithum A-Type Multispectrum Shield Hardener and now you have only 67% EM resistance with them…

As you can see this is a 8% to 9% resistance nerf to the Gila… it may not seem a lot but you actually take a LOT LOT LOT more dmg then before… so the only thing you can do is to increase your HP/s by a LOT to compensate for the nerf…

Unfortunately this is comes with cost and you make less ISK/hour as a result then before…

Fitting a Gila is basically an act of balancing out your resistances, HP/s, Cap, DPS, with the CPU and PG that are available to you… ex.: less resistance = need more HP/s = less Cap = less DPS = less ISK/hour

Also it may forces you to use boosters which has a cost therefore reduce your hourly income even further.

Sometimes the less is more… they may nerfed the resistances but the cost of PLEX droped and a lot of the expensive modules got cheaper and it take less time to get 500 PLEX then before witch is a good thing… You just need to be a bit more careful when farming T5s

Why do exotic instead of any other? Simple! Exotic are the easiest and fastest for the gila therefore the most profitable. The problem with Electrical is that it’s reduces your lowest resist by default even further and your EM drones hasn’t got much shield meaning you have to oftern pull them back and therefore lose dps and take armor shoot more easly and EM drones do less dmg then kinetic and also gila gets bonus rocket dmg for kinetic and none for EM rockets… Fire and Gamma are slower therefore less ISK an hour and more risky because you may run out of time if your dps is not on point… I don’t want to talk about darks… darks are the worse worse worse of all time… your drones cant catch up to enemy and even when they do they do 0 dmg since there is no resist penalty to enemy and they move faster therefore they heal back each other better and you do close to no dmg and you run out of time and die…

This is a budget gila fit for T5 Exotic ≈2b isk

Also using Mobile Tractor Unit for looting. ‘Magpie’ is pulling loot faster and more expensive…

Strategy:

-After spawn in first room just approach gate.
-Activate afterburner and invulnerability fields.
-Target all loot cans and send 1 light drone on each.
-Pull back all light drones and destroy all NPC that Web/Neut first then destroy everything else.
-Drop MTU as soon as you are near the gate and orbit MTU at 500m and stop the afterburner to save cap.
-If the loot cans too far away as you spawn in then after you killed everything destroy the remaining cans with your light drones.
-Keep an eye on your drone HP and watch out for aggro. Use keybinds for drones to attack and return to cargo.
-Watch out shield tank BS called Karybdis Tyrannos… it can do some serious dmg if you fly straight at it… so fly at an angle so you become hared to hit at least until u kill everything else but even then be careful and be ready to use boosters if you feel like needed (better safe then sorry)
-Avoid orange clouds because you wont be cap-stable in them… if you can’t avoid them just use 1 shield booster and consider using boosters and overheat the hardeners first and try to get out from orange cloud as fast as you can…
-You are more prone to get neuted so therefore pay close attention to your capacitor… don’t let your cap fall bellow 30% otherwise RiP.

-Pro tips to maximise your isk/hour efficiency.

Position MTU between the gate and BS if there is any.
Destroy cans with light drones by pulling back 1 medium drone and letting 2 light drone out after you destroyed majority of enemy ships.
If you feel like you will run out of time by waiting for MTU to pull the loot do NOT hesitate to skip the loot and move on.
Do NOT forget to pick up the MTU. (I did it 2x cost me 700m isk.)

-Pro tips to not lose your ship due to gankers:

Avoid Jita and nearby systems as it is highly dangerous due to suicide gankers. Instead go to highest security systems 1.0 not to close or too far from Jita.
Use directional scanner before you go in abyssal to see what ships are nearby.
Identify players on local using zKillboard to determine if is it a suicide ganking player or not. (if you see suicide gankers in local do not undock.
If you have an alt you can use it to see who is outside waiting for you to come out.
If they camping you over a longer period of time just simply move your stuff over an other system but not all at once to minimize potential lose of modules.
Please dont fly expensive gila fit in high sec… remove the modules and use MWD + Cloaking industrial to move your expensive ships modules through high sec.

see stats in previous post and you can mange as many as you want as long as you pay attention and know what you doing :slight_smile:

2s warp ceptors (or their T1 versions) or Hecate are probably better for hauling expensive modules around. 90 m3 should be enough.
