The Agency and COSMOS :parrotdad:

:parrotdad:

It’s probably not optimal, but I started with an agent that requires 6.0 standings. I can’t progress from there…

The question is, if I start at the beginning, will my standings increase enough to make it to the 9.9 agent?

Also, why isn’t this in “The Agency”?

Thanks!

What Agent did you start with?

What are your current Faction standings?

What level of Social skills do you have trained?

For more insight on boosting Faction standings I suggest you read ‘The Plan’, especially the section on Cosmos Agents…

Because COSMOS and Datacenter missions are Legacy code. I’m surprised they are still even in the game, as some of them no longer work and can’t be completed.

There’s 100’s of those Agents and only a few of them actually have issues. Course it was a long time ago when I ran Cosmos and only encountered issues with a couple of Agents.

Some of the Agents are sleeping on the job and just need to be nudged by a GM. One Agent wouldn’t offer their mission series at all, even after being nudged by a GM. Another Agent wouldn’t offer the first mission but did offer the rest of the mission series after being nudged by a GM.

Anyway, Cosmos Agents have a great storyline and most of their mission sites have excellent eye candy graphics. Personally I’d like to have those Agent missions be repeated like every 3 years or so…

Thanks for the guide.

So did you complete his mission series?

And why can’t you progress any further with Cosmos Agents?

Wrong agent . Follow this guide:

I do not know what standings you have with Caldari faction . 6.0 is enought for all caldari ones and 7.0 for the special amarr one. I just bought some items on contracts and skipped to Zabon Michi and Akemon Tolan. Some of them are cheap and worth saving you time , some are prohibitively expensive and you will have to get them by yourself.
Last time I did them was last year and then those 2 and most important agents were working. Keep in mind that there are players that farm those items right before downtime and for some of them your only option would be to buy from contracts or negotiate a price for them.

Good luck !

Edit: As in regards to the 9.9 agent (I presume you reffer to the one that gives you the navy Raven BPCs) , first time I did them was around 2011, I had around 9.0 with Caldari (unmodified) , started with the level 3 agents and it wasn’t enough for me . I just unlocked the 9.4 one that gives the navy Caracal BPCs.

It took me 100 L4 distro missions to get from 9.99 standing to 10. Diminishing returns past 9.0 are ridiculous.

Not yet, trying to log in before someone else farms it has proven to be a challenge.

Super awesome sauce!

BUT…do I need to start at the very beginning?

I have 10.0 with Spacelane Patrol but only 6.96 with Caldari State. I recently ran a bunch of Gallente missions to improve my standings there, which reduced my Caldari standings.

Do I need to run different Caldari Agents to get a 10.0 with CN, or does that matter?

It seems like I’ve run a million missions for Spacelane Patrol…

You only get faction standings for doing storyline missions, not regular missions. Every 16 regular missions of the same level for the same faction, you get a storyline mission. You can also raise it by running the SOE Arc multiple times with alts and sharing the standings with your main toon.

Excellent guide… I followed that along with a few other guides when I ran Cosmos missions…

Maybe this will help…

No, it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s above -2.00… Cosmos Agents mainly look at your Faction standing.

No. You can start from where you want. You can even start at the very end , given you have over 6.0 with Caldari State. That’s up to you and what you want to achieve.

  1. Need 7 to access L4 agents

It’s 6.0 faction standings for level 4 COSMOS agents, 4.0 for level 3 , 2.0 level 2 and 0.0 to start the level 1 ones. This is for the caldari agents.
Some need 7.0 , like the amarr one Akemon Tolan …

Excluding the Cosmos ‘Faction Ship BPC’ Agents, there’s only four Cosmos Agents that require over +6.00 Faction standing for access, all other Cosmos Agents require +6.00 or lower…

Agent = Akemon Tolan
Level = 4
Standing Req’d = +7.50
Corporation = Imperial Navy Distribution
Faction = Amarr Empire
Location = Otomainen System (Prison Stage of Guristas Complex)

Agent = Ammargal Detrone
Level = 4
Standing Req’d = +7.00
Corporation = Emperor Family
Faction = Amarr Empire
Location = Nidupad System (Imperial Palace Complex)

Agent = Zach Himun
Level = 4
Standing Req’d = +7.00
Corporation = Emperor Family
Faction = Amarr Empire
Location = Zimse System (Imperial Administration Complex)

Agent = Zar Forari
Level = 4
Standing Req’d = +6.75
Corporation = Imperial Shipment
Faction = Amarr Empire
Location = Zimse System (Imperial Administration Complex)

6.96 has me really close

I went to the first agent and she told me to piss off. I went to another agent in Airmia named Sokei Kirku. He offered me the mission League of My Own. The other two agents at that location told me to piss off. After I completed it, the same Agent offered me the same mission. There must be a glitch in the Matrix.

Ok, I’m throwing in the towel. I think a good number of the agents are borked.

As I said, it’s legacy code and I’m surprised it’s still in the game. Probably only because if they attempted to remove them, it would break the game
