The Case for a 100% Safe Highsec

He’s right.

That’s how I play the game!

No it’s not. Not even close, Aiko

No, for real, I deliberately target weak ships, people who are AFK, new players, bad fits, I always try to aim for people who won’t fight back at all.

It’s a valid and successful tactic.

That’s not the end all and be all of ocean piracy. I want to expand on what he said about real life piracy.

Ok Glen, you can expand.

Can we introduce human trafficking in this game? Ransoms and tortures? Where’s the line? Ship goes boom and clone activation isn’t pirate enough for real life and you know it. You know me, Aiko. Getting blown up doesn’t phase me. I’ll buy a ship and be back on an asteroid belt in 20 minutes. You know that. Let’s make piracy MEAN SOMETHING! Maybe we can strip 5 million skill points away from any capseleer (Been playing this game for a while and I still have to look up the spelling of that word!) *capsuleer that gets PvPed. Maybe locked in a prison for a week? Gotta tone down the reality for a game after all. Make death feared!

Those are already in the game.

I can ransom you, if you’d like.

Torture costs extra.

If I face death in real life. I’ll face it like this.

No one escapes death. It’s just the question of who will be first.
Even for those who acts high and mighty.

I don’t know what you are talking about.

There is an item you can grab when destroying a Pleasure Palace in some missions. It’s literally called “sex slaves” Wait… it’s called Exotic Dancers, but the mission brief tells you they’re slaves.

All part of the role of a pirate. In real life and in game.

Are you trying to make some kind of point?

you said I could expand. The point was that piracy happens in real life and should thus happen in New Eden.

:man_facepalming:. No comment..

That was quite an expansion.

I’m trying my best to be neutral on this highly intelligent PVP discussion but the meme’s are piling up.. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Why dont all of the crminals flock to Uedama and guard the gates for a month? 1,000 ships to shut down travel to and from Jita for an entire month.

Let’s see some commitment!

Why would opportunistic criminals “guard the gates” to “completely shut down travel”?

Not only does guarding gates sound out of character for their role, stopping all traffic is bad for their content and income. Gankers earn ISK by killing and looting ships. A terrorization campaign that stops all traffic through Uedama would do the opposite: targets and loot would stop coming.

You have to let the majority of people through to give people the idea they have a chance to get through safely, so that they keep coming and you can pick out the easier lazy and overburdened targets.

I’m not even a ganker, but this seems pretty obvious to me.

Will the Null Blocks just sit this out?

Suicide Ganking wars will be an interesting event in Uedema.
Wormhole,Null, Lowsec, HS capsuleers can hop in a cheap ship and participate.
