The consequences of 'Trig space'?

It’s not going to make a difference. Most highsec ‘leet pvpers’ prefer the kind where their targets can’t really fight back. So coming out of a site fit for damage in a cruiser, faction or HAC, will keep most of the ‘leets’ away. A Gila or a Cerb… lol. I’d luv to say hello to someone who wants a fight… problem is highsec griefers don’t want fights, they want docile prey without teeth.

Wormhole space is probably going to be one of the safest locations due to wormhole effects. That and the fact that most methodically scan down and locate intruders, close off whatever holes they can and fiercly guard the rest.

Player NPC space will be bar none the safest. Just run these from one of the strongholds where a good chunk of your supercapitals reside and it will be like printing ISK.

Low-sec is going to be an absolute gong show because of high-sec, low-sec, null-sec, wormhole and FW players all converging in one area.

High-sec will probably be limited in some way, so the usual suspects (CODE) have no doubt been salivating at the juicy gank prospects (let alone if they get a flashy suspect timer).

Except that a PvE fitted Cruiser T2 or not, is no match for a PvP fitted T3C and higher.

Thats fine and as it should be.

What if you do the site in a pvp ship?

Then your chances to live are even smaller.

Let me explain, as somebody running the pocket you are limited to Cruisers. The hunter waiting for you will wait in a ship superior to yours. No matter what you fly, you will lose the fight if you commit. Maybe not initially while people figuring out, but in the long run. You get caught, you are dead.

You should see the phantasm I got yesterday lol

It can effectively get out of any hairy situation without trouble

Hopefully they make encounters such that it requires a PvP fit?

I can’t wait for the day when the all-tank/regen PvE meta dies, they kinda have the way to do that through the new AI, what if you needed to scram down that rat otherwise it would just warp, like a real player actually would??!

But yeah, with Trig-space, if you are located, it’s probably going to be over for you lol.

To avoid that all you need to do is to make the Trig-space resources dropped in Player NPC needing material from other spaces, for example make the Player Null-Sec Trig-space drop no filaments, Player Null-Sec would need to get them out of elsewhere, which would generate some trade/dependency/limitation. Or make it drop no ammo/BPC/etc…

Or just let people use them wherever.
The result in aggregate is the same, but without limiting players.

Then you could run it in a PvP fit.

See the problem?

What problem is there with doing pve in pvp fits?

Unless you’re bad it shouldn’t be any more difficult than with a pve fit :joy:

Correction “requires a PvP fit”.

It doesn’t tho

That’s just a restriction you put on this new content lol

Let people run the Trig pockets wherever they want, to their fullest, at their own risk.

Let players choose where they do so.

Do you even engage in any of CCP’s PvE content in this game?
If so then you’d actually know the answer to your question.

Abysmal Pockets are a tear or fold in space with various weather effects and different randomly spawned NPC types, the actual risk of loss is within the pocket itself. CCP already said players can activate the Abysmal Filaments wherever and whenever a player wants to, provided they don’t have any active flags. The Filaments needed to access the different pockets will be RNG drops, same with the big reward loot for completing the pockets which will help a lot in deterring any farming of these pockets.

There was no mention of segregating or limiting access to the various levels of Abysmal space and if that does happen, the majority of the playerbase won’t engage in that content which basically turns this major expansion into a waste of time and effort. I’m sure that’s the last thing CCP wants to happen.

More than Salvos ever will

There is no issue doing pve in pvp fits lol
it’s how I’ve been rolling since the start :joy:

And what type of PvE content is that?

it doesn’t matter what form it takes, I do pve in full pvp fits, and somehow I’m not dying

Yeah, ok, whatever you say man.

you seem to struggle with the fact that I do pve in the same ships I do pvp with, which is pretty hilarious

you should prob take the kiddie wheels off the bike XD
