Now I see it clearly, it was wrong of myself and others to speak our minds, all we had to do was say what you wanted to hear!

No adverse commentary intended towards anyone quoted, as many did add to the discussion, but most just seem to share a common ‘worldview’ if @Fabulous_Rod. And none disagreed outright, which is why they are included here I imagine.

As his post, like all his posts, has nothing to do with your idea, and is about CCP being in league with/controlled by/consisting of (depending on mood) ‘the Null Sec cartels’.
Q3. Are you aware that my tone towards you, and the tone of others I am sure, is a result of the way you have behaved since you came on these forums, calling everyone trash, and yourself an elite PVPer?
What kind of response did you expect?
In one way I regret sinking to your level, but given you have behaved ‘like a Troll’ despite not being one, as it seems you actually did want to discuss something and not just make trouble and drama, I reserve the right to have treated you like one.

Quickly then; in the same way that governments call tax increases ‘closing a loophole’ and ‘ensuring fairness and balance’, CCP avoids headlining changes which adversely affect our playstyle as ‘Nerf to Ganking!’.
There is a list somewhere, but I’ve been unable to turn it up. For now, you’ll have to believe me that it is quite a lengthy list (it goes back a bit) and I don’t believe ‘Nerf to Ganking’ appears on it at all. However, the effect of the changes was indeed as I’ve described.
It has to be said that we’ve also benefitted occasionally (the buff to destroyers, tags for sec), and I don’t discount that. However, the overall trend has been to draw a rope more and more tightly around our activities and to make Highsec non-consensual player combat increasingly challenging in an environment which is dominated (for everyone) by a humungous set of rules.

Also, Salvos: reasons are irrelevant. they do not change the end results, which fit the definition of “nerf”.
I’m not sure you’re trying to wordweasel around intentionally, but no matter the reason, the outcome is what matters. Otherwise we’d have a perfect comparison to real life and politicians, who just need to state proper “reasons” for justifying whatever horrible ■■■■ they decide. there’s always a group of (paid?) nutjobs who will defend the reasons, ignoring that in reality the reasons change nothing about the outcome.

What do you mean, the same damn people telling ‘US’ to adapt or die?
These were presented as nerfs to suicide ganking, so whether we agree they are or not, it was unlikely anyone who hated suicide ganking (I assume that’s what ‘us’ means),
because regardless as to whether they are nerfs to suicide ganking in particular these changes can hardly be said to help them.
Do you know what hyperdunking is?
Or am I confused, and by US do you mean the suicide gankers, and you have been a CODE alt all along

I just think I have learnt LOADS AND LOADS about high sec ganking mechanics and whatnot from @Fabulous_Rod’s threads and the replies to his posts.
I have learnt a lot about the community and its unwritten rules from reading through his threads.
Was it even THIS THREAD in which universally renowned forum raconteur of tinfoil hattery @Dinsdale_Pirannha asked me if I was a CCP Dev/Null Sec Cartel leader’s alt? Golden.
So for pure entertainment value, and informative discussion, I give this thread an

Other trade hubs exists in Eve, just dump your stuff in a different station and stop passing through the Jita drain pipe, make the gankers work a little more. Instead you autopilot through space riddled with bored peeps sitting in stations waiting for a fat juicy whale to slow boat through system. Then cry when said peeps blow it up, i constantly wonder after all these years of this happening daily. Why people still feel the need for the game to change in regards to ganking?

They don’t find out about any of this stuff until it happens, then
they come here and ask for the game to be turned into something else to suit them
They forget to look how many freighter get blown up and don’t have pilots crying like this in the forums
Its a new player thing you have to get used to dealing with real feelings of loss and rage and whatnot that don’t happen in other games,
That’s why I will always try to help someone get through it and come out the other side a player,
some people don’t want to play with us, they want to kick over the table and throw the pieces at the wall

But vast majority of people do get it of course.

Second you have completely failed to answer my question:
- Why are you taking risk when you state there is no upside to doing so?
You have basically admitted you are doing something that is the height of imprudence. Why? And why should those seeking to take advantage of your imprudence face equally high risk?
I submit you nor @Fabulous_Rod can answer these questions.

If anything, the fact that those taking advantage of others excessive risk taking in turn face low risk is itself game balancing. Risk in EVE Online is a function of your actions.
Of course not, but that is why having friends and people in game can help you. When I bought my first freighter I got advice from buddies in game on how to avoid such ganks. And even if that doesn’t work, well that is part of the game: learning by doing.
