The End of Highsec

Oh ■■■■! Does this mean everyone will move to lowsec now?

Much of the current highsec industry will move to lowsec and nullsec, thats the intent. Thats also why they took the weight of the things that made it harder to do and cut it by 80%. This way you can take your industry more easily to those spaces by simply using a cloaked hauler and dont even need a JF. The only part that cant be moved in a cloaky hauler is now the Capital core Temp regulator. They have done many things in the same line of logic.
Cap parts went from 10k m3 to 2k. PI materials got cut 50%.
I do agree with making things cheaper and easier to haul, but lets not pretend it has no effect on highsec businesses along with all the other changes.
I used to jump my friends cap parts in lowsec and it was 2 million m3 for one dread… not its down almost 80%. All of the these changes are great for the game but they didnt have to leave highsec at an even greater efficiency disadvantage.
Most of the time people just assume they are simply… not knowing and not concerned with how it effects highsec and they are probably 90% correct.
Hell, the only changes that i think werent good overall are the Sotiyo and nerf to Vargur and Paladin.

nvm nvm

How about new safety level setting in addition to green, orange and red?
BLACK LEVEL
When set, it does the same what RED LEVEL does plus everybody can shoot you in low and high-sec with impunity from CONCORD/EDENCOM and you can shoot back ofc.

You also get red chevron (or maybe green to distinguish from red NPCs?) in overview so everybody see you as legit target?

I don’t see the point of that level?

You just need to set safeties to yellow, do something illegal and then ‘everybody can shoot you in low and high-sec with impunity from CONCORD/EDENCOM and you can shoot back ofc’.

Yes you are right, but there is a catch when you go bananas - your standing sinks.

With the BLACK LEVEL set you explicitly inform CONCORD/EDENCOM to bugger off and stay out of this cos you can handle this yourself and don’t need white knights to incopetently avenge you.

Basically it would be like open duel invite without bugging anyone specific. Just telling anybody around:
“Hey I am ready, come at me when you are”

Great ! I’ll stay in Green level and attack you in your Black level…as you have basically said anyone can attack you with impunity. You may have forgone Concord protection…but I haven’t. Thanks for the free pot shots.

I can see you haven’t quite thought this one out. You’ve forgotten that the red, yellow, green status is not about what others can do to you, it is about what you can do to others. It is solely there to prevent you committing illegal actions…or not.

Bear in mind also that other people’s status is not visible…so you have no idea what it is anyway.

But this is exactly the point of the BLACK LEVEL

With this new level I EXPECT AND WARMLY INVITE YOU to shoot me when you see me. And I will be ready to shoot back ofc.

Your standing will not drop, my standing as well and the blue guys won’t intervene and not obliterate you when you hit Ctrl+Click and F1 on me

I asure you I thoght this through.

What if, to counter ganker fleets of 25 covert bombers… we had an assault damage control for haulers. This 10 seconds of massive tank would allow you to let concord do its job.

That one idea would get rid of most mulitiboxed ganks.
Id actually be interested in a dual role DC that could be toggled between Assault style and regular with a long cooldown.

Is there anybody using 25 input broadcasting covert bombers?

Like, who exactly are you accusing here?

ok ok, ill take that part out… its an assumption. Ive multiboxed 15 accounts and the patterns i have are completely different that some of the people ive flown with… jus sayin,

How about instead of forcing haulers to push a button to auto-win against any force, you just add a button which automatically teleports them to their destination and gives them a few billion plex as a thank you for playing the game?

Calm down Miner. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

People who prepare and fit for it, which really only works on the smaller t1 haulers, and who put in the effort to not be afk will do just fine on average, unless people bring inties and possibly a fleet. The only ones caught are the AFK, the lazy, the unprepared and the folks flying the big T1 haulers.

So smaller but safer and also more effort and safer but not 100% safe if the attackers are organised. Just as nature intended.

are RFF haulers using some kind of secret ADC? because they are moving my ganking material with 0 problems.

You might be right most of the time because easier targets are available. i have records from the last year of courier contracts from Jita to amarr and back. There are cases that it doesnt matter if you are a full high grade max skills Obelisk pilots, not even carrying too much not afk, and you will lose your freighter just because the gankers got bored waiting for better. I average between 5 and 15 contracts a day for Freighters and have kept track so my views are based on this record. Its not a best guess. Sometimes it doesnt matter if you are full tank with no load and no bling. Gankers are good. The only issue i want to state is that I think some use input broadcasting on free omega (after LSI sales) mulitiboxed accounts. And with this easy no effort advantage to gank anything you like just for the fun of it, why not give the ganked some sort of way to just as easily do something about it.
Every single person here has the ability to have as many free omega as they like and gank w/e they want. Its just too easy.
