Tidi is not the issue. At all. The issue is that even with tidi we still get crashes, discos, lag and all the problems, now on top of being slowed down to a crawl.
That only works in W-space, because you only need 1 system to sustain your entire alliance with everything you need: Minerals, ISK, stuff to shoot. Unless Null sec or Low sec becomes like this, removing local does not help at all.
With the rest of the suggestions I agree.
Insanely, it’s the other way around. CCP ramped up all sorts of mechanics to force larger and larger numbers of players without ramping up technology and hardware. BIAB and TQ T3 were supposed to make the game better; however, by removing barriers to large player numbers and introducing the necessity for large numbers to attack or defend something, CCP made the game worse.
And the worst of all: CCP advertises with this mess of a fight, but does not mention at all how the “battle” actually was. This is deceptive and fraudulent advertisement.
If you don’t explain why, and how to change it, yes.
ESPECIALLY since you are not able to understand my job.
That’s arrogant. You don’t know me, you don’t know what I’m doing, you have no idea what are my concern and you come and spit me “you are incompetent”. How do you even consider this is of any help for any one ? How do you consider this as not being aggressive ? This is the essence of aggressivity : doing something to do harm instead of helping !
I don’t know Steeve and I don’t care about him. However when I read those posts here I only feel there is hate towards yourself. Steeve will make the good move and just consider that it is childish babble with no interest. However I feel personally aggressed because you are making the forum rot with useless agreessive arrogant comments everywhere. YOU prevent people from discussing by adding aggressivity. Eve is not dying, you are killing it, because YOU are incompetent at communication.
I tell you why, I tell you how you can change it.
I have enough experience in marketing and advertising worldwide to be able to point out that CCP sucks big time when it comes to m&a.
You may feel a multitude of contradictory emotions, the truth stays the same. Looks like you are turning this into a personal vendetta, which from my point of view is useless behaviour. But then again coming from you…
TiDi can only do so much. It allows the server to handle a much larger amount of people in the same system. But if players keep piling into the same system, eventually the server will hit 100% CPU-usage and start dropping calls again. TiDi helps big fights, but it has it’s limits.
Your plan : Failed miserably although it was an easy one.
I say : You suck. You are incompetent. Get back to work and become better at what you do.
You say : Stop being aggressive. You do not know how to communicate.
I say : GTFO snowflake.
You completely missed the point of what he was saying.
He wasn’t talking about the people as a whole. He was replying to the suggestion that some of the shared game functions could be off-loaded to players’ PC from the servers. The players’ PCs could then compute things like who dies, and pass it back to the server.
So what he was saying was that since that data could be hacked or falsified CCP could never trust it for things like game operations that. It would be like having a system where you can only kill people who agree with you that they are dead. Like some sort of darkcon LARP thing.
No, he said (meant, which you would have seen if you read more than the one sentence) that CCP cannot trust data from a user’s PC.
I was replying to someone who had suggested running things on client machines, and mentioning one of the key principles wrt computer security.
You can’t trust a group of people to not be malicious, because it only takes one person to screw it up for everyone. Verification is very very important.
Sorry for any misunderstanding.
(On the topic as a whole, this was a player created event. CCP may have latched onto it, but they had little to do with the creation of this specific event)
I’m sure they know it very well. They just really cannot do much about it. There is no server that can keep up with 6 thousand players and the same amount of drones/fighters duking it out in one system.
