THE FEDERATION IS IN TURMOIL. TIME TO BRING THE BEAST DOWN!

Not only it is an offtopic, it is absolutely unrelated, and absolutely wrong. Quarantine was holding? For how long more it could? There are always separated lovers who could bribe someone, children visiting parents, sending couple cupcakes and so on and so on. SoE is a well-known gallente supporter, do you really expect them to be professional? That this cure worked is a damn lucky chance. Real cowardice was not destroying them. To risk whole planet population just to save one city, how crazy that was… who the heck was even voting for that? Incomperent fools nearly doomed trillions.

Reckless accusation was that nonsense:

So I am just wondering what made you descend to such incompetent and foolish personal attacks, to make you lie about your opponent is such childish way instead of countering real arguments?

Kim-baka starting a thread like this on the IGS is hardly surprising but, still totally reprehensible and irresponsible.

Much like Kimmy herself.

I highly recommend the “Ignore” function offered by this forum. Assuming you’re using a visual interface, simply tap on your image in the top right corner, then tap on your name in the menu that pops up, then “Preferences,” then “Users,” then type in the person’s name in the Ignored box.

In the case of such posts, ignorance is actually bliss.

(Credit where it’s due: I learned about that function from Arrendis.)

It’s not a lie, Commander. Propaganda is any media produced with the intention of promoting a particular political agenda—for example, that of the State. State media is, by the very meaning of the term, propaganda. Inescapably so. Do you often consume or consider opposing points of view? How often do you consume Federal media?

GL with that

In common usage, the implication is usually that it’s a pack of jingoism and lies. And jingoistic lies.

I just assume that almost all media is dishonest propaganda.

YOU have said:

And THAT is obvious LIE in every sentence about a person you cannot agree with but lack ability to counter, resorting yourself to such pathetic slandering attacks.

And that is Propaganda, because it is said about hostile to you active military unit in the war in an openly defaming way, using false facts about said person.

So, why I even waste my time on you?
Begone.

Strike Commander, it is very difficult to claim that much of the Warzone media created by any of the empires engaged in the Militia Wars will not be laden with propaganda, it is indeed meant to drive a particular discourse and viewpoint. Ask any NOH media specialist and they will tell you this, they are the ones who care the least about ire for voicing it.

No, Diana, it is not a lie. It might be an error, but to establish that, you would have to demonstrate that you consume Federal media as well as those media streams coming from the State, advancing the State’s viewpoint. So, again, I ask: Do you often consume Federal media?

If you do, then I will happily apologize for my error. If not, then that is confirmation that you limit yourself to State propaganda.

Perhaps in your common usage.

To be clear: I am willing to accept that in your experience, that is the common usage, but that is not my experience. That is not the ‘common usage’ among my Clan or on the station where I was raised, among RSS personnel. Perhaps you should reconsider making authoritative univeral claims about the usage of terms in cultures you have never deigned to visit, as your ‘sojourn’ series demonstrated.

I don’t have a lot of experience with common usages that don’t reflect what I just said, so, sure, maybe there’s someplace where it’s used for peace, happiness, and butterflies, but I’ve never been there. Usually those things don’t need a lot of propaganda to get people to want them.

Most often, it’s the drums of war that want it. So it’s natural that “propaganda” would be associated with the drums of war and the fictions used to inspire a more enthusiastic beat.

But I agree that’s not its technical definition, just the usual implication most places you see it: a connotation, not a denotation.

A pretty strong one, but maybe not where you come from.

Of course you haven’t. After all, claims of strength, of cohesion, of internal peace and security, the Empire never engages in those. It never spins the narrative that everything is fine and there is no dissent between the Houses. Negative coverage of internal matters is never minimized or filtered out on Amarr media.

Yes, but you hear the word “propaganda” applied to that less often.

Connotations.

Again: perhaps that is your experience. It is not universal.

I do have a little experience with the Amarrian approach to influencing their people’s opinions, Ms. Stjornauga, but …

Meh.

You seem awfully concerned with hammering your side of a point I’ve already basically agreed to. Maybe focus on Ms. Kim? That’s a worthy project at least.

You seem to be someone who walks into the middle of an argument by scolding one of the participants, and expects to have her words unchallenged and taken as authoritative and beyond question. They are not, and your pathetic whining does not make them any moreso.

Arrendis is the friendly capsuleer in her clan.

Anna doesn’t play around. She’s going to focus on who and what she wants.

I kind of like her style, honestly.

You can have her, ma’am. To me she just seems weirdly reactive, all spines, fangs, and claws, which to me just looks like … fear. Not of me particularly; there’s more to it than that. But I don’t care enough to delve into it further. One of the lessons I’ve been learning little by little is that some puzzle boxes aren’t worth opening.

Her efforts to engage with Ms. Kim are a little interesting, but seriously, Ms. Tsukiyo is more worth talking to.

Have fun?

Or perhaps I find your condescending lectures as useless and unwelcome as those of Culome or the other idiots in this thread attempting to tell me how I should give up on speaking to my friend. Fools, the lot of you. As if I needed more reminders of why we normally discuss matters elsewhere.

Oh, look, more nattering in-bound. It’ll be simpler to simply block you, I suppose.

… yeah, not worth it.

Block away. In fact, please do.
