I’m adapting my posting style to the one I reply to
So my concern CCP has missed the mark yet again prompts you to post about New players not mattering in the bigger scheme of things?
Personally I see new/er players (not wallet warriors) who are willing to have a go as the future of Eve - But that’s just me.
are these keys tradeable via the market or contracts?
I loot ESS main banks with a tech 1 cruser fit with meta 1 modules.
Hello, testet the 15 min key and my payout is still rising after the 15 min is expired
@CCP_Swift
Yep, I tested the 15 minute key. It reach 150mil payouts at the 30 minute mark. then started to decrease. Overall I recieved just over 3.3bil from the 45 minute hack.
Everybody got 8 each!
I’ll look into re-seeding some more on Monday. We may also add a bunch of ISK to the reserve banks on Singularity also for testing purposes as they’re getting emptied faster than I expected over this weekend.
Thanks for this - we’re still tracking down some issues around the Early/Peak/Late payout caching.
If you have reported bugs on Singularity with the report tool (press F12) then we should be able to get the information we need to resolve this.
Drones need their MWD’s also switched off so drones have to ab, heavies are op inside ESS.
Or just allow mwd on everything, ab meta is boring as hell
@CCP_Paradox when will the anoms go live on sisi? Not having them there defeats the purpose of being able to test things before it goes live on tq with major bugs.
So if anyone come at night and rob your bank - is it ok??? I think the entire system is damn imbalanced. If u dont rat ATM - no isk can be stolen from normal bank. But…
you can just do it yourself before you sleep
I have concerns about being able to stockpile these Reserve Bank Keys.
Dosen’t seem healthy for long term engagement and interdependence with low-sec if a group can blitz a bunch of sites for a month, pass out stockpiled keys to renter leaders to scoop their own banks, and abandon the low sec security sites.
Currently, these keys don’t appear to have an expiration date so they’ll be a commodity that can be stockpiled. Probably one of the biggest things that can be done from the start to tip the balance toward more low sec activity is ‘urgency’ by key expiration–example, expire at the end of the month.
A simple lore reason that AEGIS defense forces update password tokens every month.
I think that getting the keys is a little too easy. I think that the keys should be region specific or for there to be more geographic key types in general. This should be done to either force players to spend a lot more time collecting keys, to get a region that they want, or to trade them with other players. Or it would force players to use the keys that they have and go to other regions of the map.
From the blog post:
…lest your window of opportunity be snatched away by an opportunistic roaming fleet
What roaming fleet? Are you even listening to the players that are screaming, CCP? This is a very short sighted update, it might generate a very small amount of content for a very small period of time. Until people realise that worthwhile ESS grids are camped by cloaked snipey bullsh…, smartbombers on the warp-in, or protected by a blob. After a week or maybe two that player count downward trend will continue.
Listen to those who are screaming as they’re right. This isn’t the update we want nor need. This isn’t going to encourage good, engaging (not f1 monkey) content. And it will be short-lived - which is dumb. We need people undocking in whatever ships they want and whelping them because they feel they can replace them. We need people yeeting around battleships and laughing when they die, not weeping when their credit card bill comes in.
The most fun, engaging content I’ve had recently is having a rorqual tackled, letting the content come to me as small-medium scale content doesn’t exist otherwise. That shows the sorry state of the game.
I am happy people will be trying to come to lowsec for these. People going into lowsec for Liberation Day has been great.
Plus, my Loki looks way scarier now with the new graphics!
Very short-lived though, don’t you think? How many times are people going to feed ships to you to obtain keys before thinking “well, this is ■■■■”? How long will that feed last? Notice the use of the word feed, not fight.
Given that the isk is released from the reserve banks, it is simply not sustainable content long term. It’s a short term attempt to claw back players that are unsubbing en-masse because the game is rapidly going down hill and CCP are doing nothing about it.
ESS’s were “ok” content for like 5 minutes, now you can have 500m in an ESS and it doesn’t get stolen (I’ve seen it regularly…). CCP’s idea of spreading people around space was dumb. If anything people should get bonuses for grouping up in a system. That way they’re there ready to fight, not dock up and watch their isk get stolen because fighting off a group solo is impossible and everyone else is just orbiting havens in other systems.
I’m sure I will feed too. Gotta take all the fights!
ESS is still great fun. And Vargur changes will make it harder for one person to chase off small gangs of robbers.
I will forward these to our engineers.
