The greatest Blog in EVE history is coming to a close

It’s not an extortion racket, it’s more like a drivers license and law enforcement for the democratically elected government of Highsec.

CODE. is the most interesting thing that happened to this game since forever. If anything it made it more attractive and retained players by providing them interesting content.

We are just here to help really. Highsec would be lost without the leadership and guidance of the New Order.

CCP forced us to do the “extortion racket” - we started out without it.

The war between Goonswarm and BOB was a close second.

It had a pretty boring ending though

The conclusion of the blog was absolutely glorious.

First off, Code doesnt do this for profit. We gank miners, they dont yeild profit at all.

So thats Doubt reason number one.

Secondly, We stopped concentrating on Uedama a long time ago.

So thats Doubt reason number two.

Thirdly, were fine with being podded, we just set our home station to the station we go out from, and youve just done us a huge favor. There is no annoyance to being podded, it saves us time and effort.

So thats Doubt reason number three.

Did you wake up after getting these Codies to pay you? Cause hate to tell you, it was a dream.

Like it or not, James 315 is one of the most successful and influential people in EVE history.

How many other players can honestly say that they were given more than 2 trillion isk, voluntarily, and not even as part of a scam. People love the guy, and rightly so. James is the coolest person I know, and that includes real life! <3 JAMES :two_hearts: :revolving_hearts:

Of course they did

Not saying it may not happen, there are very different people there and some of them might do that even though it would be considered heresy, but were they really members of CODE?

I ask because I’ve been offered this multiple times by non-CODE gankers (which I’ve always declined), but it’s very unusual for a CODE ganker to do that, for a variety of reasons.

FWIW, don’t know if you remember me, but I know you and have no reason to doubt you’re telling the truth, I’m just not used to see a CODE ganker do that.

What you said about annoying them by killing their pods makes no sense, though…

Very well said.

The war between Goonswarm and BOB didn’t end. BOB just ended up becoming Northern Coalition.

Difficult to say, things were different then. I once fired the same large artillery round for about 10 minutes - for all I know, that fleet engagement may still be going on, forever waiting for the server to generate the next frame.

This is my inner Austrian speaking:

I really, really, REALLY don’t enjoy how people in this thread …
… are, through Satire, turning James into a Hitler.

It’s forced tribute.

Have a little bit of decency and call things by their names. Don’t mislead forum users/rookies with your twisted definition of that “permit”.

As you wish: you’re an idiot,

Umm Tax is legalised extortion, which is the same as a forced tribute.

I think we also like to offer the permits because it is amusing to watch miners like Aesir froth at the mouth about it. Praise James!

Except that it does. I have come across quite a few CODE gankers that use implants and some pretty meaty ones too in terms of price.

Here is one example:

https://zkillboard.com/kill/79923768/

And there is a good reason why that alt would use implants. In fact if you go through this characters killboards you will find implants on most of his clones.

The excessively multi-boxing gankers do not use implants on their DPS and tackle, though I have seen them use implants sometimes.

EDIT: The character is Empire Ganking Alt and the kill was on 16th November 2019 at 15:46 in Niarja if the link to the kill mail is removed.

LOL. Of course it makes sense to kill pods that might have implants, I do that myself, you just have to check my KB to see. But he was obviously talking about empty pods, you just have to check the context and the “reason” why he said that could annoy them…

I was tempted to make that explicit, but figured if I didn’t you wouldn’t miss the opportunity to make a fool of yourself again by pretending I’m wrong or something…
