I do Hunt sites, not Huntmaster sites.
BTW, Hunt sites can be found also in low-sec space. I haven’t yet checked null and WH space for Hunt sites.

Ok, I didnt read everything but the way I’ve been finding the pods is to enter a system as normal. DScan 360 at max range as you enter and pass through the system. If a pod pops up on your overview, narrow the range down to 1 au. Then go planet to planet, while still using dscan. Whe. the pod pops up again, start warping to moons. I’m sure theres a more efficient way to do so, but to the person that asked for a tutorial, it’s been working fine for me.

New players(a month or two in) will have a lot of difficulty doing the sites, but once you can mount a t2 tank, it’s pretty easy going. In addition, if they are doing research into guristas, they’ll likely tank for Thermal/Kinetic. Which wouldn’t be great seeing as most of the damage I take seems to be EM.

It’s a decent event with decent loot chances, but definitely needs a few tweaks to it.

This the fit I’m using. It can’t survive without the drones (since the Drones take a majority of the incoming DPS and Aggro) and requires a solid bit of cap micromanagement. Overheat the SAAR for bigger burst reps as needed but don’t keep it cycling constantly.

Use Void against Cruisers (Caracal, Blackbird, Gila) and Null S against everything else.

I’m sure you could drop the Scram for another Web if you wanna just focus solely on the Hunt site, but I like to have the Scram just in case someone tries to get tricky.

@Scoots_Choco Where do you find this “huntmasters”, I have done lots of “Guristas Hunt Outpost” and the final enemy was always a VHF-08 or a VHF-21, but never a VHF-32.
I have done it in High, Low and Null, but mostly in High because I feel the rewards are the same. Could you please say the exact name of the anomaly? or it’s the same, but I have to continue trying in low or null and be lucky ?

It’s called the Guristas Huntmaster’s Outpost.

You want to look for them in systems with little traffic, since it’s less likely that people will be running the sites.

You can see there’s a cluster of systems that have under 20 jumps in the past couple of hours. So chances are pretty high that there are some good sites there.

I’ve been running them in lowsec, mostly because it’s quieter and there’s no one around to bother me.

Alexis, it takes like a half hour of dscanning to find like 10 pods. If it’s a ‘huge time sink’ then consider this like, a form of very basic dscan training.

Okay, I’ll work on my D-Scan skills. I can scan down a small drone with probes but not a capsule 10x the size. The inconsistencies in this game drive me nuts. Why is it so foaking hard to plan an event that fits in with the current game mechanics?

Why force using D-Scan down everyone’s throats??
