The Hypernet should be changed!

I originally wanted people from my own company to organize a lottery activity. It’s about selling the skin of a ship to people in the company at a price of 100ISK per ticket. But later it was discovered that this hypernet had been stolen by a stranger outside the company. He bought 48 tickets in one go.

I am crashed after this.

I think the hypernet should be able to set a visible range. For example, only open to employees of the company. Another feature is that each person has a limit on the number of tickets they can purchase, which can only be one or a few tickets.

It seems you are about to learn something: You just need to use the feature you are asking for and do a private HyperNet offer next time…

If you in fact did do a private offer and it got leaked outside the corp, then either someone is trolling you or the corpmembers are not all trustworthy.

The thing about the price and number of tickets ratio is what you have to find out for yourself.

goof,

I didn’t know about the Private HyperNet offer that Power Armor shared, but there’s also another option:

Let your corp members pay tickets for a very inexpensive item instead of for the real prize. Then trade whoever wins that inexpensive token item the real prize.

It will require some trust that you will indeed trade the real prize in the end if everyone in your corp bought a ticket, but if anyone decides to be a dick and buy out all tickets, or it leaks to someone outside your corp there’s no way you lose your item to people playing unfair.

If in the end the hypernet proves to be unsuitable you can consider the method I’ve used for one of my giveaway events:

(Note: not the sign up method instead the random draw of the winners.)

The only thing is that you can not gain anything (not even a “sign up fee” / “lottery ticket price”) when using this method, so corp members who want to participate might declare their intention in a corp mail or something.
