The like and get likes thread

I have seen software and hardware that can scan object and put it into computer in 3d form, or just recreate objects from image. Also paired with motion capture its a rather fast process to do 3d stuf today. SC makes a big use of scanned faces too, but their animation guys are somehow not doing great work with running, its too much in the area of uncanny valley for me.

Timezone everyone :kissing_heart:/

Good for them. We here are stil majorly coal dependent like in the age of steam locomotives. :anguished:

And now for something rather surprising, at least for me… I did not know Salvador Dali used to make animation with Disney…
Looks a bit creepy.

Well, for decades the film only existed as a script with some sketches and concept arts… we never will knwo how it would had fared in the hands of them, but it’s an inmersion in the odd mind of Salvador Dali.

Wind is a thing in Portugal and some corners of Spain, specially the northwest and north. Here in my own corner of Spain, wind farms are not fully developed and yet they regularly supply power to 1 million households. In Spain also there is an incentive as we don’t have fossil fuels, the more abundant is low quality coal with so much sulphur that’s unusable unless you aim to corrode machinery. We import all natural gas from Africa and in excess of 99% oil and derivatives… but on the other hand we’ve got plenty of mountains and rivers that were used to create many hydroelectric plants in the last century, and there’s also lots of wind and sun too.

Today we scored a job to weld some stuff for the local fair. Turned in our certs a few weeks ago and thought we may not get the job. Welp, That’s what we get for thinking. Cant wait to see what we make.
