Sticking heads in the sand like “my ship doesn’t need any change” ignores all the hints from CCP that they are going to change it.
all we can do is speculate as to what changes might be coming. All we can do is let ccp know that ratface is trying to ruin eve and that the current mining ships are perfect where they are.
I agree, it’s perfect. it’s a great ship, great experience, and fun to play.

If you acknowledge the Orca + Miner = Pillar there’s not much left to say and yet you and Pan are still talking. So that’s not an acknowledgement it something else.

I’m actually mining in an Orca right now in highsec, and if you actually took the time to not be lazy, you’d see in my posts in this thread that I’m not all for destroying the ship.
That might be a bit hard for a lazy miner, but wonders might occur.
rattati is bad for eve. ccp should have learned from his dust days.
I don’t disagree, from the perspective of my gameplay, but he is the one that is calling some of the overall shots, so we have the adapt to changes he pushes that are introduced.

It will be extremely sad if the Orca and Rorqual go back to just ships flown by alts. Particularly the Orca, since it’s more attainable for many players than the Rorqual is.
Whatever they do, I hope it’s still a ship that main characters aspire to fly.

I have a feeling they are going to increase the boosts, but remove the drones. Just a feeling… But mining foreman need to be able to earn isk on their own, which was the issue before 2016. I truly remember when the mining foreman was a dead profession, alt only ship.
I agree. Seems a pretty low effort approach; and that’s really the level of development we’ve seen in recent times, so the likely outcome.
I hope it isn’t and I’ll give CCP kudos if they do something more expansive than that.

I bet people lost to orcas in pvp is why this is happening.
The video says they are going move it more toward fleet boosting (prob reduce the yield on drones) and give it a new role.
