Another wall of text full of fantasies.
You seem to live in your own world when you’re not in EVE’s world.
Yep, NPC fleet versus NPC fleet and you can get standings with either and join up with them. It exists.
Pochven only seems desolate I suspect, because of the wormhole-like delayed local chat. But it’s probably full of cloaky Lokis following you everywhere.
I was there a while ago, it’s a nice place, especially when you’re on a return trip after filamenting around.
If I would ever look for a new place to live in in EVE, Pochven is probably my first choice. At least to try it out. But for now I’m happy with my corp in null, I’ve got just the right amount of fleet fights here.
It’s a fun world, where I get to have fun and enjoy myself. A world where I can do what I want, that’s not full of whining and regrets about things not being the way I want them to be, and others not making them how I want them to be.
I get to have a great time, while you sit on the forums and complain about how it isn’t this and how it isn’t that but it should be, foot stomp.
So Pochven.
Anywhere else? I live in Amarr, I’m not going all the way to Pochven and get ganked on my way there
Most likely not. The map still reports Pochven system statistics as if they’re regular systems (and in a way they kind of are), and you can see that there’s barely any traffic/ship destruction going on in most of those systems.
There’s no “on your way there,” you just use a filament and teleport to it instantly.
As long as you’re happy I guess.
You’re full of fantasies aren’t you?
‘All the way’?
The nice thing about Pochven is that it is directly accessible from any low/high/null sec space with a simple filament. You have various different filaments that end you up in random different parts of the 27 Pochven systems, but it’s just one filament to get into Pochven. And one more filament to get out.
Give it a try! In a cheap ship, preferably, cloaky if you can. Pop a filament, take a look around, dock up, look at the nice Triglavian interior, buy a glorification filament, undock (care for baddies) and warp around a few sites (be careful to warp off again fast, the NPCs can be strong) and see how it is.
Maybe you could even kill a drone or drifter somewhere to get positive Trig standing so they stop harassing you in high sec.
And once done, you can use the glorification filament to get back out to non-Pochven space.
Okay, that’s cool.
I will !! Sounds exciting!
Which filament will take me there?
Any under ‘Triglavian space inbound’ as market category. Pick the cheapest.
Border-5 ‘Pochven’ Filament will do, and Glorification-1 ‘Devana’ Filament to get out again.
Thanks.
Didn’t know about any of that.
Depends where you want to go:
There are two categories of filaments in the “trade goods” section of the market: inbound and outbound. If you read the descriptions, they explain how they work.
I probably wouldn’t advise going to a border system. Inner or home might have fewer neutrals.
Also that extraction one can put you in bumfuck nowhere. Having a few proximity filaments with you is a better idea.
Also the NPCs inside will absolutely murder a single rookie player, so I don’t suggest warping to any sites or celestials except at range in a covert cloak-capable ship.
Fair enough.
I’m not really well known with Pochven (only went a couple of times myself) so if you think inner or home is less crowded you may be right!
Proximity are a good choice as well, but a lot more expensive last time I checked. And it can land you in bumfuck nowhere too if your Pochven system is surrounded by bumfuck nowhere. This can be solved by taking a gate, but that may be hard to do in the home systems (or did they remove the trig standings to take those gates too?)
No, you still need standings to use the gates.
Most Trig systems are surrounded by high-sec systems. Niarja, my target after my Jita shopping trip yesterday, has 12 Amarr high-sec and 2 Gallente low-sec exit systems, for example. If you wind up somewhere you don’t want to be, you can just re-filament, though it’s a 15-minute wait each time.
I’ll have to wait to be cloaky because I won’t be omega til end of August but I can lose a few uncloaky ships to get experience and know what I jump into.
Can I use any ship and put the cloak module on it or just certain ships can be cloaked?
You can use regular cloaks on any ship, but only ships capable of using the covert ops cloak are able to warp cloaked.
No worries if you cannot use a cloak. In that case I would take a cheap frigate with fast align (inertial stabilizers in the lows) so you can warp off fast before enemies lock you.
good post ty for the info

Ganking happens in the area of space with the highest population (by far), frequently happens in high traffic areas of systems (i.e. gates), and it results in flashy tags that persist for 15 minutes and follow gankers around -which, in turn, make it really hard for people to miss the fact that a gank has happened. Naturally, with all these factors at play, ganking is going to have a high visibility. Moreover, this illustrates why you can’t trust casual observation. After all, various forms of PvP are happening all the time in various areas of space, yet we have someone asserting that ganking seems like the only form of PvP that happens.
48 kills in the last 6 or so minutes, and not one gank of them was a gank. Oh, and do bear in mind that players have to go out of their way to share thier kills with zkillboard. And many don’t, either because they don’t care, or because they are intentionally trying to deny their enemy intel.
Excellent post. In fact, I made this for you (for real. I went looking for upvote gifs, and was surprised I couldn’t find any Ted Lasso ones).
I’m starting to see how Mr_Epeen is right about you.
