Perhaps I should have been more clear. That was directed at Mr. Epeen for calling you a simp.
Ugh. I’ve only caught up to post 122 so far. Hopefully things don’t get worse.

You sure got that ass backwards. Maybe you should scroll up and follow that quote chain back to the beginning. It’s pretty obvious who I was calling a simp.
Mr Epeen
I should probably let it go for no other reason that I doubt that confrontation will make things better. But I guess I’ll give a shot.
I see. Regardless, please try to play nice. I know I sometimes get out of line myself, but that doesn’t make it right.
And, with that, I think I’m done interneting for the day. You kids have fun.
I have no interest in being your friend.
Mr.Epeen never called Fifi a simp.
That’s too complicated for CCP to do. They can’t even find bugs and eliminate them or deliver a clean patch, they’re struggling with present codes so what makes you think they can do all of that?
And that’s assuming they even want to.
CCP is content to let players create their own content. It’s clear they’ve given up with improving the PvE side of the game, that doesn’t pay while PvP creates destruction and that’s what brings in the bucks.
LOL. Ship is def not that.
As we should. Don’t you got dessies to lose LOL.
You know what I find funny reading thru this thread? DC and I may do our fair share of trolling and general pwning of bears of care a lot.
However Ship and Etch are pretty stand up dudes.
Mina and Fae wanna be siding with Epeen says it all LOL.
I love how it just proves me right. You claim to not like trolls or hateful forum posters.
Yet in this one thread, you’ve already become that
I enjoy EVE as EVE has been intended to be. I find joy in it. I know why it rankles you, and it makes me smile
?? Mr.Epeen never called me a simp.
I think you’re too busy irl to properly manage your own thread. I think it’s cool you made this thread and your OP is a nice read but keeping up with the posts demands time you just don’t seem to have.
I would not know. Must be wishful thinking.
I guess it’s good business sense, even if doesn’t help the game.
And maybe CCP is rolling back the PvE side and plan to make EVE strictly PvP. That’s what I would do.
That would be better instead of trying to be everything to everybody. It’s already not a sandbox and PvE is old and boring. Might as well make EVE 100% PvP and stop luring casual players into the butchery.
Actually, CCP already did that during invasions. Well, you couldn’t actually join NPC fleets, but you could fight along side them, give them logi support, sway the tide of battle, and determine the fate of invaded systems. And, believe it or not, a lot of players actually liked it.
Now, will we see anything more like that? Meh… I dunno. Invasions certainly demonstrated that there was an appetite for that sort of content, and it seems kind of absurd that they would abandon game play that they found success with… but that’s kind of what they did.
But I’m not an expert on this stuff. Perhaps @Prospektor_Schipplock would be willing to speak on the matter.
yeah remember the trigs and the 30 hours marathons and the drugs , i think the ending of this kind of content saved some lives
If couldn’t join NPC fleets then CCP didn’t already do that.
I know they would, that’s good content.
Seems to me that CCP is in the habbit of shooting themselves in the foot.
NPCs do not have ‘fleets’ in the sense that players have them; they do not have a fleet commander who gives fleet broadcast commands or warps the fleet around, nor does it have talking characters who discuss the fleets, strategies, intel or completely random unrelated stuff, because they’re NPCs and not programmed to do so.
NPCs do have fleets in the sense that they had ships in a group fighting enemy ships. You could definitely fly with such a fleet and fight enemy fleets, ‘join up’ if you could call it. Just don’t expect the NPCs to behave like people and follow the ingame fleet system settings or set up a fleet advert. They do however often fly in groups of NPC ships: NPC fleets.
So yes, joining with a fleet of NPCs to shoot the same enemies has been done.
Exactly. That’s what I’m talking about. They don’t and it would be cool if they did have that we could join.
No need to have fleet commanders for NPC.
Right, like said: be able to join NPC fleets.
They can be programmed to do that.
Right. That’s what I’m talking about: be able to join those NPC fleets.
No it hasn’t.
What is it that fleeting up with NPCs would offer you that players cannot?
I acknowledge that i am the only constant in this equation, but given how insular EvEs communities are Id likely be able to get an NPC to fleet up and show me the ropes before many of the so called “social” corps.
And i get it. EvE is a game about killing other players. Doesnt exactly inspire confidence.
From what ive seen the myth of the “newbro with a good attitude” is as mythical as the “bittervet who helps”.
One players experience, anyway.
I haven’t thought about it that deeply. It’s not that important either. It’s just something I thought would be cool.
My alliance has regular newbie fleets with the purpose to show new players the ropes. As well as fleets to show them more specific parts of fleet combat such as tackling, hunting or flying remote repair ships.
Also, I see newbies with good attitudes often. Bittervets who help are more rare, usually because they’re so bitter and prefer to complain instead of help. Veterans (the non-bitter kind) who help aren’t rare though.
