The problem CCP Created

I am not even going to look that up. I cannot even imagine how that could be wrong. Thank you for spelling that out clearly and kindly. I stand corrected.

No problem , it’s ok , i’m not competing for mr . knowseverything here

its not ganking if you declare war. it’s legitimate mechanical pvp the way eve originally intended it to be.

suicide ganking is pointless and takes no skill.

Eve originally didn’t have war mechanics and ganking was the only mechanic. Ganking is the original way.

Really? Have you tried?

yes, and i bait gankers aswell.

thats debatable lets find out Welcome to EVE

In a time when m0o was Concord

For a person with your imagination and ingenuity , as you imply to us, i would find it hard to belive that it would have opened such thread to begin with.
The person that you painted us, wouldn’t have bothered with such mundane tasks.
So, you paint a false image , troll, or simply just can’t adapt to new mechanics.

Absolutely. I’m not one to take things I didn’t need, so I never took anything from the shared hangar. I got no SRP, no free ships, or even backup. I mean, It’s not exactly like I was flying double ASB rorquals.

Put out a ping, a ■■■■ fit miasmos is tackeled! And… it’s dead. Well… never mind.

The support they offered me came in the form of knowledge and wisdom. They instilled in me a high internal locus of control. They taught me that it was brains, attitude, and determination that would determine my success in Eve. This was the key support they gave me. This was the critical element. And that is why I sound like a broken record on these forums. I mean, you don’t exactly see me going around saying, “if you want to have success in Eve, you need to join a corp that will give you free stuff, or has support fleets, or whatever.”

I keep saying that brains, attitude, and determination will determine one’s success in Eve because I truly believe it. Other things, such as skill points, SRP, and all that, are mere advantages. They can help. They can make life easier, but they are not critical. You can succeed without them. You cannot, however, succeed if you don’t get back up when you get knocked down.

Was your dad also the inventor of the one size fits all shoe?

I am pretty tired of the constant reply on this forum “It worked for me!” Yeah, we all know there are exceptions.

From all I have heard (which is the best I can do since I cannot live everyone’s life myself) most people need a support group of some kind to make it in EVE. Surely that’s not a controversial statement.

I know of some people who can show him a whole bunch of them all at once.
He won’t like it much, but I have plenty of popcorn.

Well hope you are ready to share lol

You betcha!

If you think flying an expensive ship is safe in highsec, you’re either deluding yourself or don’t fly expensive ships.

Wow, so I should buy an upwell structure and put it in Osmon?
How long would I last before I get popped you say?
TIS podcast on this matter?
Looks interesting…

There is an elegant solution to this which might, I suspect, actually be on the path into the future…

… Shrink High sec

  • High sec should become the beginners paradise.
  • Low Isk for Low risk. Some medium isk for low risk but with significant active effort.
  • Four to eight little high security islands of not many systems and beginner focused content (plus trade hubs).
  • Squeezing out those that want to multi-box mining fleets (untouchable) as there simply will not be enough room or resources.

@Kaleic Karrif
I think everyone would like to see Eve more as “they perceive” it was originally intended to be too.

I see the point of view from a seasoned pvp centric player, you wouldnt want a 100% safe place for people because that takes away from your enjoyement and its totally not what the game is supposed to be.

But you also have to keep in mind that eve isnt the most welcoming game for newbros as it stands. Im fairly new and from what i gathered, this game is a cult classic. I should also tell you that the loss of money, many many many deaths, the harsh envoirement wont drive me away from the game but im in the minority. You cant have the game be a total massacre hub, u WILL NOT get newcomers that way. And that is what will drive even me away from the game.

Nobody wants to play a “dead” multiplayer game. Think of how an ecosystem works in the real world. You have pray and predator, If you change the habitat in a way that makes the pray increasingly more vulnurable, the pray that may have migrated to this habitat wont do that and soon eneough the pray numbers will drop off, then the predators will have nothing to eat and their numbers will drop off then the whole system dies.

I’m not sure you could be more wrong.

Yes it is

No you’re not, CCP has already shown the stats.

Here you are assuming that there are only two different types of players and they are only that type. Most folks I know will suicide gank the orca ice mining right next to thiers while also in a nul blob fleet and running a mission. Folks that understand what Eve is do all things, exploration, mining, ganking, missions, LS PvP, nul blobs, and so on.
