The "You will be terminated" message is scary to new players

You are about to be Ganked

Do you consent YES/NO?

I suggest your friend not play scary games as clearly very delicate.

Make sure the dialogue box goes right in front of the warp button. :smirk: :innocent:

@Uriel_the_Flame It has been a while since Frosty has been terminated, time for you to put another bounty on his head.

He has to commit a crime for that. Oh actually it was a killright not a bounty.

And almost invariably from people for whom one can find little evidence that they have ever undocked.

Agreed. Plus, I feel it’s important for EVE to take as many opportunities as possible to remind players they’re in a multiplayer, active universe, with good guys and bad guys, and that they have reason to be wary and on their toes.

TBH, EVE would be better off if somewhere in the tutorial an NPC fed them a few lines about “Be careful out there… pirates, drone hives and worse could be waiting at the end of every warp. It’s OK for you podders - you can put on a new clone like I change shoes. Losing a ship is just the cost of doing business for you. But one-lifers like me, we have to be wary with the risks we take.”

The only issue with the “terminated” message is that it should be clearer and readable, not that it’s “scary”.

It goes into the log file, for example…

“you are an enemy of the Amarr Empire! This is your last voyage into our territory!”

…which is seen by everyone.

…alongside warp disruption attempts on others, duels on others, etc. So the message is not actually lost forever and anyone can just have log file minimized and then read it for such info.

That game is dead.

So they said ever since it launched.

Maybe you can replace Mike on the CSM. The tutorial team could clearly use some input from someone who actually played the game.

bumped this over to Player Features & Ideas - EVE Online Forums

I think this would also be a good add to the QoL thread: Little things / Small QoL suggestions

Hmm maybe I am scared of how high the next one would become?

Maybe I’ll plan for the next one ahead of time.
