Knowing these forums they probably think i did it to kill eve.
when an event comes along in eve to spawn massive player creations, to the point which 98% people on are alts, what do you think comes of it? Its clear its both a cash grab, and a way to say “new players are coming”.
I forsaw that statement months in advance btw telling my corp (at the time) “just wait, hillmar will come saying lots of new people are coming but you wont see anything happen to the concurrent player rate”.
what should they do? turning this game even more into pay to win? i mean ofcourse, technicly can you achieve everything without to pay even one cent but … then you need a lot of time and kind of luck that you find a LS region where nothing much goes on etc.
arent giving the event rewards already omega benefits? like skill points? which an alpha wont get? and that often a lot more then an alpha gets.

If you asked me what is the problem: after about 6 weeks you are getting capped by boring support skills. Lets admit it, training them is both necessary and extremely boring. And boy, do they take a while train.

So like how WoW gives mounts for free on 6 or 12mth subs? Yep, CCP always playing catch up with stuff like this
Maybe smarter people already figured this out…but have we ever thought that maybe a good answer to botting is to do away with free to play and using plex to pay for the game?
If we took pure greed out of the equation and reinstated a quality experience for a price but then limited that experience based on paying subs how many automation accounts would that turn away?
I have some suggestions. But as they involve things like capitalization, punctuation, syntax, and grammar, they’d be wasted on you.

You realize that if CCP they got rid of PLEX to pay for subs people would be screaming EXACTLY what you are screaming about? That all they are interested in is money…
