Ok, believe whatever you want. It doesn’t make my day-to-day any different.
neither do mine so we are ok S3
Except that you are factually wrong. But that is just a small asterisk.
@Gadget_Helmsdottir @M_Cincinnatus you two are correct, I made an error; I crossed PLEX Sink and ISK Sink in my mind.
no im not
A vet can make the isk to buy plex in a day or an evening easily.
A new scrub cannot make the isk to buy plex for sub in a day or an evening (yes yes we know there are ways to potentialy do it yadda yadda but lets be realistic. That hurricane you just bought is the most precious thing you own…)
So, if It costs me 1 evening a month to grind isk for sub… and it takes someone the whole month of play to grind isk for sub… Those are two very different things yes?
I get that somebody had to buy the plex with real money… But then spending 1 hour to grind out 1.4 bil doing an activity (playing computer game) you enjoy compared to having o pay £9.99 you may not be able to afford are two very different propositions. And if I didn’t buy the said plex the seller could well have traded it for extractors skins or what have you…
So the longer you play eve the easier it is to sub with isk. To the point where its not even a factor in your isk making decision making process.
I think theoretically if CCP wanted to make more money, they’d need to offer more things that PLEX can do for you, and it would mean PLEX value relative to isk becomes so high its no longer viable to use it for omega.
I had a point I think but i cant remember what it was as I just started to ramble on…
Where does it say that NES is an ISK sink?
@M_Cincinnatus and @Gadget_Helmsdottir , as everyone keeps telling you, are right…
edit:
remove plex and you reduce the principal isk sink in the game
if you guys think not ok
edit:
if you remove plex from the game do you think the number on the side of broker fee and transaction tax will…
1- increase
2-stay the same
3- decrease
There is no tax in the NES…
Ok good…progress…YES, if you buy PLEX on the market, the tax is an ISK sink…if you use that PLEX in the NES, then it’s also a PLEX sink.
The point those is that you can also buy PLEX with RL money and use it in the store which doesn’t create any tax…in that case it’s only acting as an PLEX sink.
plex sink is irrelevant
if the plex is used without passing on the market is a problem for the player and money for ccp
if any item is bought with plex to be sold or the plex is listed for sell on the marked is ISK SINK
AND BTW some people use plex as a reserve , to beat fluctuations in the market , like some kind of eve gold
so plex can be sold and bought many times without being used making more isk sink every transaction
last post about it , believe me or not
but think about it , you guys are in jayce team on that , don’t you know the forum meta , dang
Hey great…you are finally getting it…
ok i will break my promise i cant help myself
why do you care if a PLEX don’t pass thought the market , its exactly like paying more for game time and has NO EFECT IN THE GAME
you must see by now that you are completely wrong , or you are trolling me or are in denial , i proved my point long ago
learn to loose
i faced heavy opposition in this topic and emerged victorious
Shocker…
Except as you have mentioned and been shown a few times, one is an ISK sink and one is not. That is the an effect.
Except we’ve never said that it’s not an ISK sink if sold on the market…or you are trolling us or are in denial , we proved our point long ago
I await your reply…
i dont need , i already won
maybe tomorrow
its late , all that really read the topic will know that I’m right and you are wrong
learn to lose
because you did
Sounds good…please don’t hurt your arm while patting yourself on the back…
Then I suggest you go to school and get a better than minimum wage job rather than wasting your time playing a game to pay for a game.

To be fair this isn’t really an option for many at the moment, the ongoing pandemic has left a lot of people in limbo when it comes to employment, or the possibility that they still have a job to go back to when it’s all over.
Right but game design is permanent, you don’t design around temporary events.
PLEX isn’t a sink. Using the market in general, though, does have one built in.
However, PLEX can also be directly traded, contracted, or stolen…
Contracting has a built in sink, but directly trading or … acquiring… doesn’t.
PLEX is just a common expendable good once rendered in game just like ammo.
How much of an ISK sink are antimatter Hybrid (S) rounds?
None by themselves.
