They can’t break us. But they can kill our people - and they do kill our people, they torture them. They do that as we speak.
I will move on. I will more forward, stepping on their skulls, I will keep fighting to stop their atrocities, to make them pay for their crimes, I will fight to protect Caldari citizens from Gallente death squads and from their torturers. I will fight for our children to choose their fate, to recieve best education, and not become just another exotic dancer in gallente pleasure hub. We didn’t start this war, but we will damn finish it. We will fight for what is ours, and we won’t respect any demands of murderers and thieves like gallenteans.
Our security will be enforced by military superiority, not by treaties with those, who are known to violate the treaties to backstab you.
There’s an interesting (and archaic) profession that still exists in certain particularly conservative regions of Saisio, and I believe there are corollaries elsewhere. This is the ‘professional companion.’ Often, the service is one of conversation, artful interaction, of creativity. It’s a playfulness formalized, an escape that is often described as elegant, eminently civilized.
Historically, there are also overtones, sometimes, of attraction, intimacy, and possibly even more.
Now, for all that we think of sweaty, seedy clubs as the place of the exotic dancer, there exists a broad range of ‘professional companion.’ And, indeed, some of those ‘art’ practiced by those dancers is only removed from what others engage in freely by the degree of undress.
I mean, I’m sure we’ve all gone clubbing at some point in our lives.
I won’t question the specifics of this profession. After all, it seems to be that rare occurence of something you managed to know more about than I do. But considering your infamous history of public lies in GalNet, I highly doubt such activities can be found in Saisio. It sounds very much like gallentean activity to me.
That sounds as gallentean activity for me as well. Or a minmatar weapon. Anyway, clearly your “all” excludes Caldari citizens.
Makoto, you’re forgetting the most important part of a Professional Companion - discretion. It’s the freedom to discuss any subject and to voice any opinion on that subject that some treasure the most highly.
Since I consider myself a Caldari sympathizer, I think I could try to answer to this.
My past was the one in the Federation - and I indeed let it go, now sticking to the State. But I agree that there are many things threatening our cluster and to tackle them we shall stand together. I will tell you what I’ve learned since I left the Federation and joined Caldari.
First of all, you shall stop considering people Gallente, Caldari, Minmatar and Amarr. We can work together, but we can’t together with those, who measure people merit by their bloodline. Here people represent each other by their profession, by their rank, other merits. And if you speak of “Caldari captains” you sort of “demerit” them, referencing that they don’t represent anything besides being Caldari. They will never accept you as co-worker if you will reference them like that. If Caldari will reference you as Gallente - that will be like in 95% of cases an insult, implying both that you are nothing else than a Gallente, and that you have negative personal traits - because they usually put a negative weight just on the name “Gallente”.
Second, Caldari are already eager to work with anyone on common problems. They might be xenophobic culturally, but they are very easy to deal with - they don’t press their point of view on others. On the other hand, they won’t tolerate cultural imperialism imposed on them. If you will judge their culture, if you will be trying to “convert” them - would it be into Amarr religion or into Gallente values (like freedom, democracy, individualism) - they simply will refuse working with you, or might even reply quite agressively. Just keep in mind, they are xenophonic and protect their way of life quite vigorously. If you can respect their way of life - sure, come work with them!
Third, I believe that unlike you Caldari will simply won’t care who you are - Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar or Amarr. But you can expect them refusing to accept you if you wear any Federal identifications or openly work on the Federation. Current Federal politics doesn’t make them one they want to associate with - me neither.
And thus, here is a little TL;DR for you if you really want to work together with Caldari:
Do not bring in any race or bloodline specific discussion or affair.
Respect people culture and point of view, even if it doesn’t match yours. If they hate democracy - don’t offer them that.
Leave the Federation, do not discuss it, do not belong to it.
Just approach them and start working with them, it’s really just easy like that!
I have overcame our differences and worked with Caldari easily. Can you?
Oh, thank you, thank you!
The credits for me being a good student should go to my teacher instead. You probably know her, it’s Cmdr. Kim, who was my guide to Caldari society all these years.
Maybe she could teach you something too, but I doubt she will be eager to talk with you after all the words you were offending her with.
Holy Spirits , you filthy scum , you insult your ancestors , your parents , and the next generation of our people, please recombobulate your thoughts . Why do you think like you do comrade ?
Why do you not support your local Patriot bloc , why do you no support the U-Nats , the Templis Dragonaurs , even though TD have been outlawed many Patriots do still support them , see them as heroes.
Y-yea, I see my mistake in talking to you as well. But who knows, maybe you’ll stop offending people who are talking to you… someday. Maybe. I hope. Well, the hope dies the last, as they say. I really don’t like people like you, who are turning every conversation into a frustration.
