And I thought you were better than this space trash, Ambrye, especially after we discussed signatures elsewhere. You disappoint me. Now I feel bad for wasting my precious time on you earlier.

Awe, Ms Kim. I apologize. I’m a very informal gal and have a knee jerk reaction to mock what appears to be overly formal. I promise to work on that.

That’s the thing. That question cuts entirely too close to home, as it were, and you have demonstrated no ability to question your own biases. When two monumental biases are set in opposition, it seems you’d rather lash out than address the issue.

You’ve just demonstrated this for everyone on this forum.

I just thought I’d mention that Caldari Prime’s real name is “Cephalin”, which is the name given to it by its Gallentean discoverers.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle !

Don’t get your dirty hands on OUR home and our property. It’s not your business.

And that’s another typical lie and slander by Priano. I wonder when you will stop poisoning forums with your pathetic attacks?

Because pretty much everyone on this forum could see that I lashed on you not because of any “biases set in opposition”, but because of your outrageously hostile and uncivil behavior, Priano. First, you insult former Caldari leader, now you openly spread lie about me just because I refused to give explanation to you, caused by your own misbehavior.

As I said, if you want answers, at least try to speak like a human being, and not like smelly drunk gurista from under the table.

Accepted, Ms. Ambrye.

I will look forward to fruitful conversations with you. I will not guarantee though to stay informal.

Oh for the sake of the Maker, I have heard enough of this useless prattle! I’ve sat on the sidelines watching this thread and you harp on about how it is imperative that the State must bring debellation to the Federation, that we must annihilate them to the last man and woman standing that bears arms in defence of their homeland, regardless of whether they are in service to the Federation or their member states.

No. I will not, nor can I ever agree with such a monstrous proposition. You would have our people enter into an engagement which would be disastrous for both our nations, in which thousands of thousands of millions would perish, State and Federal citizens alike, to bring about your quest of a New Eden without the Federation. And yet you seem to accept this, deeming their lives ‘acceptable losses’, as if you are qualified enough and in a position of authority to valuate each and every one of ours and theirs. Your actions and conduct throughout the CEMPWA war have reflected on yourself poorly, such as the summary execution of prisoners of war, a heinous crime worsened by that you separated them on the basis of race before ordering them shot. I am reminded of a particularly zealous Morthane bombship commander during the great Airship wars on Gallentia, that stated that as long as there are two of us and one of them we win the war. No, this cannot and must not ever be the case, for the sake of our nation. The oaths we swore to first and foremost preserve and defend the State and her citizens must be upheld, and your call for a total war would violate the principle behind that oath.

I am not sure what you desire in earnest, Commander Kim, that we do not already possess. We have our independence, we fought a long and hard conflict to attain it, but we have it. It is not eroded, or challenged, because the Federation recognises it and our right to exist as separate polities. The situation regarding Home, the birthplace of our people, has been resolved in a settlement that both sides agreed to, where Caldari and Gallente alike can live without the lingering threat of invasion or subjugation. You must remember, whilst it is and forever will be the cradle of our civilisation, others have also made it their home too. If they can live and forge an existence on our Home, then they are more than welcome to live there.

I will not be party to any effort to bring about the destruction of the Federation. They are people, looking to survive and prosper, with hopes and dreams of a greater future that we all aspire to. I haven’t spent a good degree of time within the Federation, but those individuals I have met would express outrage and mortification at how certain organisations act in the name of their society, regarding the black sites in the Rise and other crimes that deserve only condemnation committed by both sides throughout our shared history. The Federation has seen great people rise within their ranks, honourable people, that want nothing more than for peace to reign and this mockery of a war to end. I am happy to admit I have found friends, and those individuals that I have become more than just friends with, during my time there. They have a right to exist, we must learn to co-exist with them, and to deny them that would make us no better than President Duvailer and his mob that sought to smother our aspirations in the crib.

We cannot allow ancient prejudices and hate to cloud our judgement, nor permit individuals like yourself, Commander Kim, or organisations such as the Providence Directorate which sought to sow the seeds of discord amongst our society to rally us for a war that is not beneficial for the State’s long term prospects. The Federation of today is not the same Federation that our people fought against all those centuries ago. And whilst I shall continue to serve in whatever capacity I can, whether it is in the State Protectorate or elsewhere, I cannot sit and be silent on your reckless opinions and demands no longer.

There’s actually a quite simple reason why the CEWMPA war continues on the side of the State: Black Rise.

The Patriots in Kaalakiota, Wiyrkomi and Lai Dai funded the exploration and settlement of Black Rise, collectively it is those corporations who lay claim to and have sole development rights within the region on a first in, first get basis.

It is in the fundamental interests of the other Megas to keep them locked into a war in a region they own because the longer the war continues, the longer the Patriots cannot effectively develop the region and use it as a new industrial and economic power base in the future.

Even if Kaalakiota, Wiyrkomi, and Lai Dai wanted to negotiate a settlement to CEWMPA they cannot push it through a quorum of the CEP so long as it will remain blocked on a 5 versus 3 basis. As such, until the political situation changes, and for the other Megas on the CEP it would involve their being given legal development access to claims made by the Patriots within Black Rise, the only way forward is to continue prosecuting the current conflict as it is.

I think I’d have to point out that by the time the Gallente discovered it, it had a name, given to it by the people living there.

Madam Kim,

Allow me to acquiesce and expand on what my colleague was attempting to bring to light. While the incident at Caldari Prime was most unfortunate for all involved, it was without doubt particularly tragic to the State and her people. In an instant, one of the highest authorities among the Caldari Navy was forced to make a decision: To turn the most destructive forces of the most deadly ship in the Navy against her own people, or to sacrifice her status as Admiral, disobey a direct order from Heth, and potentially save more Caldari in process.

We cannot say for certain that turning the Doomsday on Caldari Prime would have resulted in any more or less losses of life, but allow us to direct our attention to the aftermath: In the wake of the Shiigeru’s destruction, Tibus Heth condemned Mens Reppola and the Ishukone Corporation for ‘consorting with the enemy’, but we know, based on their activities on Caldari Prime, that they were there to conduct relief efforts. Yet, shortly prior to that, the Hyasyoda Corporation, having recently aligned with the Caldari Providence Directorate, expressed approval of Reppola for their actions, stating that he “placed the Caldari people before his corporation’s pride”.

In essence, Madam Kim, I attempt to re-iterate the question of Madam Priano with suitably less antagonism: Could it perhaps be that Admiral Visera Yanala made an immediate decision to put the Caldari people before State pride? Could it perhaps be that Tibus Heth put his pride of the State before his people?

But out of curiosity, I have a query of my own: Could you perhaps set aside your pride to put the Caldari people first?

Whose side are you on, Commander?

Except I didn’t execute prisoners of war, I’ve executed convicts. As that’s how you call those, who were sentenced to death by a tribunal. I have told it before, but no, you dare to call them prisoners of war. Have you actually looked into reports, what exact crimes they were sentenced for? I have multiple times said, I don’t take gallente prisoners and do not accept surrender of units until the whole Federation surrenders. How do you guess, where exactly did I get these peoples from, what made me, a soldier, to go on capturing spree like some sort of a cop instead of just delivering bullets to them?

Can you imagine what these people were doing to Caldari? There were some graphic materials attached to their cases, and knowing what these people did, I myself wanted to torture them as much as I could. But I didn’t. Because I am a professional. Because I am not like them, becuase I am better, because I am Caldari. They were convicted and sentenced by Caldari laws and according to Caldari legal procedures. You can’t imagine the anger I felt towards these people. And I was proud when the tribunal allowed me to execute them, I felt relief, that there will be less monsters, who are torturing our prisoners.

And yet you dare to defend them. So, whose side are you on, Commander?

That’s what you think they deserve, “only condemnation”? Excuse me, did you become suddenly a gallente politician, while I was absent? Would you like to condemn them, while doing nothing to actually stop that? Saying some words, angry words, dirty words, judging words - but that reside only as words, while they keep slaughtering and torturing our people, without blinking an eye at all your condemnations?

I can’t and will never agree with this. And I will not stand aside, doing nothing.

They don’t deserve condemnation. They deserve Justice. And that’s what I am doing, when I grab them by scruff and toss them on the floor before the tribunal. And I do that because I know perfectly well, that CALDARI people, that CALDARI officers and CALDARI tribunal will not just “condemn” them. They will SENTENCE them according to their crimes.

Would you instead just condemn them and let them go?
So, whose side are you on, Commander?

I have answered this exactly in the starting post. My desire is to provide security to Caldari citizens and stop their deaths.

And that’s what I am planning to do, calling for destruction of the Federation. Because while they exist, while they attack us, our citizens will keep getting killed by these aggressors.

There is an old philosophical question, would you kill yourself 100 people to save 1000 people? Or you will do nothing and see 1000 die? I am one of those, who will take an action, and who will kill 100 people even with my bare hands to guarantee survival of these 1000.

Some people will call me murderer for this, some will call me monster, but I will just call them pathetic spineless cowards. I know that I did it right, because by taking lives I save people. Covering my hands in blood doesn’t bother me. What does bother me, are those weaklings, who will kill 1000 people by their inaction and indecision. In the end, it won’t be me, who will be monster just because I kill 100 people. It will be them who are monsters, for letting 1000 die.

And do you really want to be one of them, looking day after day how more and more young Caldari soldiers die every day from unending Gallente attacks? How mothers and fathers lose their children? How children lose their parents? And all just because you want to only stand and defend instead of delivering justice to Gallente and make them stop killing people once and forever?

Do you have what it takes to be a Captain, to be a Soldier and to be Caldari, Commander?

D. Kim, Strike Commander,

Caldari State

I cannot condone with such sort of reasoning, Mr. Nomistrav. The weapons were turned not against our own people, but against the invaders - the operation “Highlander” has started with gallente planetary invasion in violation of Luminaire treaty of 10 June YC110, made with illegally deployed on the planet FDU Dust operatives. If a district was overrun by Gallente and our defenders were all dead, I’d myself give an order to nuke it down.

Reppola has betrayed everything that was left of Caldari in him, standing on his knees in front of the Senate, begging like a spineless fool. That’s not how Caldari act. When bandits take something from us, we strike them back and return what was stolen, not begging them to return. I cannot say that he placed the Caldari people before his corporation’s pride, quite counterwise. He stepped on all these soldiers and citizens, who were fighting and dying to protect their homes, betraying them, and got “His own Caldari Prime” for his corporation.

I am not going to judge Adm. Yanala. For whatever choice she made, she drank the tea, and I respect her for that as Caldari. People like her, who act according to old ways of times of Raata, make me especially proud. And I don’t see how Tibus Heth put his pride of the State before his people. I believe that with precise district bombardment threat to Caldari people would be minimal.

D. Kim, Strike Commander,
State Protectorate, CMC
Caldari State

Yes, Madam Kim, I am well aware the circumstances of Operation Highlander, make no mistake. The entire battle was ill befitting of both nations in the end, and I see little value in its scope. We know that the Western Districts of Arcurio were evacuated in order to facilitate less casualties as a result of the wreckage, whilst combat continued in numerous districts. This infers that there were indeed State soldiers and civilians alike who very well would have been caught in the wreckage, but moreover infers that they would also have been killed by the Shiigeru’s Doomsday.

To say that the loss of lives would have been minimal is not for you or I to judge, but it begs the question: What value is the life of a State Citizen in the face of destroying your enemy? How many State citizens are worth killing in the crossfire in order to kill Gallente soldiers? That is what brings to question Tibus Heth’s pride of the State, as we must infer that he measured the lives of State citizens against the destruction of Gallente forces, and found them wanting.

Make no mistake, Madam Kim, there is no such thing as precision when a Doomsday is used. There is only death, as it is explained in name and title, and death is indiscriminate.

Kim, a Doomsday strike is by no means the equivalent of precise district bombardment.

It has been confirmed by the Caldari Navy that Yanala-haani’s actions prevented an extinction-level event. “According to the Caldari Navy, ‘These acts prevented an extinction-level event from occurring on Caldari Prime. Millions of lives were saved in the short term and billions more were spared from the aftereffects of radioactive fallout and other health complications from debris.’”

What’s more, it’s a matter of testimony under oath by Caldari Navy Chief Executive Mininela Erinen that Heth’s actions toward Yanala-haani were motivated by her disobeying an order to fire the Oblivion superweapon. “When it became obvious that the Shiigeru was going to be destroyed and the Oblivion was not going to be fired, Executor Heth ordered I attend him. Under Provist escort, we entered her post-rebirth chamber. Executor Heth interrogated Admiral Yanala, then offered her a cup of hak’len tea. Admiral Yanala drank the tea and died shortly after from respiratory failure.”

Essentially, I say this: Heth ordered an extinction-level weapons firing on Caldari Prime. This is a matter of historical record. This is explicitly not a precise district bombardment. Having fired orbital support before, the class of weapon used for precision bombardment is never found aboard titan-class vessels.

Diana Kim does follow the Heth playbook quite closely, at least insofar as alienating every potential ally with their choices.

Such as when Heth alienated the CEP by offering an auction on system rights in the militia zone but did nothing to actually secure them, causing trillions in lost investments.

Such as when Heth alienated the citizens of Kaalakiota, a company he should know is particularly zealous in its pursuit of autarchy and self reliance, by signing the CAESA loans and indebting it to a foreign government - the very thing through its entire history it has fought against.

Such as when Heth as alienated the State Armed Forces by forcing the execution of one of the most respected Admirals within its ranks for not following an order considered abhorrent given by him to destroy the Homeworld.

After spending years alienating allies and making enemies across the State he had the laughable idea to say he was not responsible for his own poor decisions and failed life choices. Much like Kim, the notion of admitting fault in the face of overwhelming evidence was just too much for a fragile ego to bear. Much like Kim, it is easier to blame everyone else and play to being a victim, a martyr, than to have the dignity to accept that if you dig your own hole it is no one else’s fault but yours when others bury you in it.
