I am well aware of the original meaning of “to toast”. But a company that introduced this toasting as one of the more annoying features of their product, it’s hardly recency bias but rather contextual awareness.

CCP is toasting the future of EvE.

I hope they do because a toasted future would be very befitting of this word choice.
I am aware of the expression to toast something. But you make it seem as if it has a specific meaning in EVE.
Only actual EVE Players will understand.
