I was making a distinction between Ganking and Griefing there is a big difference.
Ganking is fine, Griefing is Toxic and has no place in any game.
describe what the difference is then?

Ganking for high value cargo risk vs reward
Griefing is killing people in starter ships and miners with no value just kill to ruin someone’s fun, low level players that can’t fight back and don’t understand the mechanics etc.
Griefing has caused so many to stop playing EVE and the #1 complaint in the forums since launch.
EVE would be over 300k active players easy not 20-30k that its at.
the player base is aging out most are in 40’s 50’s and 60’s we need to attract new players to the game before it’s to late to do so.
They need more than one system to learn the game.
they just quit. 99% don’t even go to the forums they just quit and move on.
People that don’t care about the game flame and troll forum posts like these, they dont if game dies they want easy kills for their insecurity’s
Those that care about the future of the game understand something must be done

Mining isn’t supposed to be safe in High, Low, Null, WH, Poch, or anything in-between. That’s been true since this game’s inception. Write-ups always included the need to protect mining ops.
That’s not griefing. Griefing is the continued attack of the same person over and over to ruin his fun and make him quit the game. That’s actually against the Terms of Service.

Though we’ve had our differences, I have to commend your own spirit of defiance. In one form or another it is what differentiates the survivors from the quitters. EVE is a state of mind…a dogged determination. And people either have it, or they don’t.
