Yes I am the same but if that is how people play their game then that is cool cos that is them and not me. However, I feel you missed the point somewhat. This was not โit is morally wrong to gamble in EVE cos EVE is so pure and full of decent peopleโ as we know that to be pure nonsense. It was โthis is morally wrong as online gambling is destructive to so many and is just a way for a scumbag company to exploit addiction for a quick short-term income stream from RL money and hurting people in real lifeโ.
Oh, I would like to vote in favor of hypernet 5-6 times, as is the tradition of Chicago voting. The drama surrounding the dumpster fire game is more entertaining than the game. So, I vote in favor of terrible ideas that create animosity and conflict.
Itโs a really bad idea, though. I hate it. I canโt wait to see all the hypernet spam. Maybe the billboards in stations will have hypernet adds on them. Oh, and itโs not gambling because isk isnโt real, right? Iโm sure legislators will leave us alone. Positive on that.
What a great idea! Itโs almost like blackout! Everyoneโs super opinionated and trolling and "FU BOOMER"ing I love this. Lit fam! Or whatever kids say.
must have been moved to reddit.
I hope โ โ โ โ like this will be regulated into hell soon.
Maybe CCP removed the โVoteโ option because they knew this type of thread would be posted.
Anyway, my vote is - NO
EDIT: Looks like the Vote option is still available:
Also we should not call it hypernet, but HyperGambling, because that is what it actually is
Get rid of the ridiculous hypercore idea and this might be fun. If you want to create a new isk sink, place a 10% tax on any item sold and let that be reduceable by either an existing skill or a new skill. Otherwise this just looks you are taking a feature some players want and monetizing it.
FOR IT.
and
EVE ONLINE FOREVER!
โฆand everything you mentioned that you consider reprehensible is actual game play. This raffle thing is not game play. Itโs a cash grab.
Iโm all for new and innovative ways for CCP to make money, as it would mean (one would hope) more money for developing actual interesting game play features or additions, but thisโฆthis is none of that. Itโs a raffle system that is utilized by buying tokens from the store with real money. And before anyone says you can use ISK, ISK can be bought with real money, so that argument is moot.
This doesnโt belong in EVE, or at the very least, doesnโt belong as a cash-grab mechanic by CCP. Seems to me if players want to raffle stuff, they should be able to raffle stuff. They let us do practically everything else.
lol, CCPโs (PA) killing it โฆ
Trust me, I donโt work for CCP. I like the idea but SOMER Blink probably did a better job than CCP will.
WHY IN THE FUยขK DID CCP RENAME THIS CHARACTER?
I made her as HyperNet - Relay.
Youโre just a fool who thinks Candy Crush is a โreal gameโ instead of just a micro-transaction platform. Not really surprising someone like you would think approving of this sort of thing is funny. Itโs just a shame that you seem incapable of understanding how things are in fact as opposed to just pressing buttons for a shiny and flashy graphic like the child you are.
I absolutely agree with this sentiment 100%, it is how everything is done in todayโs world, monetize everything, profits before people, etc, ECT, however in todayโs world competition for end users is fierce and eve is an ancient game in comparison to everything out there.
People has noticed a drop in the player base, real or imagined it effects how people feel about this game but the bottom line is keeping the lights on, many bitter vets hate feeling like this game is headed to pay to win, it threatens their mantle as top dogs, winners, me as a long time player myself donโt care if someone pays to win, in the end it an empty achievement, the long road most bitter vets have taken feel cheated because of the shortcut many new players have, I donโt mind, itโs just a game and anyone who does become addicted to microtransactions is their own shortcomings and a personal problem, those who are raging against it are puritans because they believe it takes away from them their โpreciousโ, this makes me question their lifestyle choices of order of importance when they rage over a game, the lights must stay on is the bottom line if microtransactions are a way to accomplish this I am not against it and itโs existence.
Well, I pressed yours.
@HyperNet_Relay
you miss a point โฆ the โactually i dont careโ โฆ thats what it is for me โฆ i saw this video
i dont see to much problem โฆ i cant guess why i ever should use it โฆ
JuuR
Iโd like a Diablo 3 style auction house. I think our player base would embrace that and not abuse it at all.
Watching you struggle through that was like watching paint to dry. The market will adjust as itโs very easy to determine the value of something. Thatโs why CCP made it a single item raffle. Iโll buy a ticket for 10 or 25m just for fun.
yea its a free world โฆ i guess i dont waste my isk for that but everyone can if he /she wish so โฆ
I think CCP should register as a gambling site, get the age of access to 18, then have players host casinoโs in stations. WIth PVP Poker and PVE slots.
