S.O.A.D. plays in my head every time this thread gets updated
There there no time for a or should I have brought my poopsock???
Stop making me laugh, you’re horribly toxic! You even spelt Coffee wrong! Twice! Horror! Still no coffee here, btw. Can’t drink the one i usually drink, because it’s killing me. have to rely on weaker one.
Do you know how hard life isfor me? Do you even understand my struggles? They even mistook my awesome, coffee based idea as trolling! D:
/me sighs.
World hunger is solvable by properly distributing the available food. There is enough available, but it’s not faily distributed. I’m not allowed to write how i’d approach this, though. forum rules.
Regarding the definitely increasing amount of cancer in this game (thanks, CCP), one reliable way of dealing with it is promoting a counter-culture to new players, by injecting a heavy dose of adrenaline. Go back to the roots. Have everyone you can find promote and teach antagonism in a good way, without relying on bullies and ego trippers. it’ll be a slow grind, but that’s the only chance left. I’ve already spent the time working this out, even made posts explaining how to do it. a definitely working solution, but it’s useless when people are so braindead and rather post their useless opinions, crying for CCP to make changes, instead of forcing them through political and cultural activism.
Now keep making fun of me. i don’t mind that, because i’m at least working on something and currently i’m trying to gather the money for it.
Still waiting for my coffee substitute.
What have you done about it?
You ignored my questions further above and used typical carebear tactics trying to avoid them. you’re toxic, so don’t bother trying talking to me. no idea wtf went wrong with you up there, but it’s enough to make me want to stay far away from you. your carebearish behaviour disgusts me.
have a nice day anyway.
This thread:
Can you link me that post of yours. I’m very much interested.
So you’ve done nothing.
Figures.
Harsh sunlight is the best disinfectant.
The best way, and only viable way I think to deal with this problem is through information/education to win the culture war. Start with rational, information-based discussions refuting the silliness of the OP and helping new and potential players understand the game and how it is suppose to be. Like this thread.
Then, you ramp up the campaign with satire and mockery of those who expect the unreasonable from a PvP sandbox game coupled with respectfully bringing that PvP game to them smashing any cocoon of false safety they have constructed and reminding them that loss is part of the game: death is a serious business as they said when CCP set out to design the game. Finally, if that all fails, you resort to shaming and ostracization showing to the world the bad behaviour of some players.
Only this way will you win the culture war, but it will never be a definitive victory as there will always be pressure, both financial and otherwise, to change the game to cater to a certain type of player. You can only do your best to hold true to the original pillars of the game, hold CCP to that which I think they have done remarkably well at delivering a harsh (although I agree less harsh than before) full-loot gaming experience given the realities of the market and game development.
I completely agree with this assessment. This also a big part of why the New Order of Highsec was founded and the Code was written in the first place, as a consequence of the carebear problem analysed in the Manifesto I + II of our Supreme Protector James 315.

.Who?
Yeah, last week I went to the hamburger restaurant, there was a robbery and the robber shot a person that refused to give his wallet. So you are saying I am going to jail because I was just standing there with my hands in the air instead of podding that guy. Games <> Reality.
Also, there is so much toxicity in this there should be label on top :
What is it with you guys that you seem to only read half the sentence and then don’t even think about what you read?
Difference with Eve vs other mmos is that it’s very unforgiving.
Other games you die and shrug it off, in Eve you make a mistake or trust the wrong person then you could lose all your assets, titan etc…
I recently met up with some guys from my alliance and we were completely different out of game, in game were the nasty hi sec war deccers that blow up everyone’s stuff and out were just normal guys with families.
We all said how strange it was and that Eve is a good place to escape and be whoever you want to be.
So you are really a nasty person when you can be a nasty person without consequences?
Traumas I guess, I’m not sure. I am not a doctor.
If you count someone blowing up your spaceship as a nasty person you need to reevaluate your life.
Completely different.
Who you want to be again?
