Judging from your fit you are not only not an idiot, but also appear to be an alt of a more experienced player, plus you took everything in stride and acted classy to the very end. I approve of all this wholeheartedly, and I do encourage you to contact Spectrum if you’re interested in getting involved in any kind of red lightsaber kind of funplay.
Now, as to the why… I venture out to bait mission runners and other PVE players oftentimes in response to small minded derps who keep shitting up the forums with their incessance wailings for a safer, easier, foam padded and warning labels everywhere high sec. This time it was Balos Tritapo who set me off. This guy wants high sec to be completely PVP free. Now, I know that you don’t agree with this, as you were willing to throw down with your ship over some swiped metal scraps… but he and them like him just wont stop.
So I have to do things like this in hopes that he will.
Don’t worry, he’s been informed of what happened because of his shitposts. I would suggest hitting him up for compensation, as despite you pulling the trigger he is the reason I was there in the first place.

You make it sound as though we live in a world where today people don’t get killed for the ideals of another.
Literally the only thing that is different is the sophistication of the weapons used, and the experience to know that preserving a workforce is generally preferable to razing it to the ground.
Why should the science fiction future universe be any different? Do pixel lives matter too, 21,000 years later?
