Pfft - can’t even log into the account page to cancel my subs
Day 7. A full week. Can’t login at all. East coast US. I was always able to log in before it disconnected on me, but today can’t get on at all.
I was working fine apart from Ghost’s in local logged in EVE 14:30 have lost all chat channels apart from corp and local.
Who is playing space lawyer now? Lol.
This really isn’t a legal issue for most of us, it is a business one. Good companies care about good will and right now CCP definitely needs to invest in some. They can start by banning your troll ass from these forums. That would net them a huge amount of good will from those of us that have had to witness your “King of the Incels” attention whoring over the past week.

Yeah Neuestar is dropping everyone on the East Coast. Multiple people including myself ran a tracert on the server. It dropped all of us at Neustar. The DDOS protection people they hired.

Capitalism 101. They “CCP” create a product “the game” which they charge a fee for access to use on a recurring basis. As a paying customer, whether it be a game or any other product or service, have every right to demand compensation when they do not provide the product as previously mentioned.
I will say we agree to disagree on “they’ve done OK”. They have not even done OK.
As a consumer, it is absolutely within my right to know how they plan to correct the current issue as the answer will have direct implications as to my decision on whether to continue paying for a game that is not playable. I am currently paying for something I am unable to use as intended.
And the crack about my wallet, alone no it is not. But when a whole lot of people get together and come to the same conclusion then yes it most certainly is enough to break a company. Strength and power in numbers.
And as a customer who is unhappy with the current state of affairs. I am well within my right to request compensation. No demand was made. I said “I hope…”.

yea, only those which can connect to the eve online page (logging in there) can actually get their tokens verified through the launcher. and then being eventually able to login.
you are on one of those ends which cant even login into the eve online page, therefore no token verification via launcher … and therefore no chance for you to login =/
tho i find it funny how the cancel culture flurishing here in this thread. and being like “omg i cancel my subscription” it is a DDoS attack. it isnt CCP´s fault. all of you which writing like “i cancel my subscription, ccp is ■■■■■■■■ and its their fault” should get inmediatly DDoSeD and taken their internet off! >_> SERIOUSLY xD

Live in Turkey and cannot login for couple of days install un install couple of time but does not work , I saw a post about use a vpn to log in and I can able to log in but it is annoying…
dont worry now that pearl abyss owns Eve online. Eve online mobile is coming you can blow your entire paycheck in 5 mins on micro transactions and online gambling… ROFL
I wish you had elaborated more technically on how the DDOS is taking place.
DDos typically targets a few key areas of a system. The most prominent of those are bandwidth and CPU usage. Old Dos went after bandwidth, but newer techniques were more effective when they consume system CPU usage.
It would be informative if you could comment as to why traditional anti-DDos techniques failed to thwart this attack.
Why were firewalls, access control lists, blacklisting, load balancing and other techniques not sufficient with this attack?
And why is the attack more prominent to USTZ users? Maybe a simple explanation of your network topology. You don’t have to get to detailed with IP addresses or anything.

Maybe you are right, It is not CCPs fault for the DDOS. But see the DDOS attacks are not the reason we can not login to the game. Maybe if you actually read this forum post a bit, you would see that NEUSTAR is the reason. If CCP really wanted to fix the problem they would drop NUESTAR. Find another DDOS protector that is not going to block an entire region from enjoying the game. That is 100% CCPs fault for not instantly dropping them.

Just attempted to log in 3 accounts. Only 1 connected straightaway. Other 2 did connect on subsequent attempts. No chat working on any of the accounts. DC’d within minutes. The Game for me remains unplayable. I think a quicker response by you, possibly an e-mail blast would have been in order. Does anybody know who is doing this and why?
