Ping the server with the diagnostics tool on the launcher. Use any of the tests except tracer route. keep using the tool during the entire log in process. lemme know.

My mostly layman’s opinion is that this has more to do with routing issues or design issues in the last mile of security protections than a continued single DDOS event. Not saying its necessarily CCP’s fault but could very well be the fault of either there datacenter network provider/security provider (if outsorced) or of a end point router somewhere.
We have problems at work all the time with the security systems responding to an event and locking out systems they should not…and they can take us a couple days to get resolved.
Still doesnt make me happy to pay for a game i cant pay…especially when others can…and no Im not getting a vpn just to play this. (Although it might be nice to finish watching ministerio del tiempo now that netflix has pulled it in the US).

It’s strange - I’ve had NO issues at all maintaining connectivity. But I’ve definitely had chat issues, and logon issues only for brief periods (first logon fails, seems to work after that). Lag hasn’t been an issue for me either.
Makes me wonder what their network layout is, and if only certain links are being hammered…
I have not been able to connect since Thursday Evening. When I run the connection tests I get various results. Sometimes the ping times out, sometimes it appears to be alright then I will get right to the game screen and then it says connection lost. Sometimes I will get in for a few minutes and then it kicks me out. Took me 8 tries to get in today, was in for 15 min or so and then it kicked me out. So I take that as you guys are working hard and making progress. These kinds of things are tough to defend against, perpetrators should go to prison, but will probably never be found. Keep up the good work, I have faith you all will find a solution.
Going on day 2 of not being able to log in at all, best I’m getting is the forums at this point…got in for 10 minutes earlier today and that’s it
first time i logged, i had no chat, relogged, had full chat, but got booted within thirty minutes.

I have only been able to login once in the last week and that only lasted less than 10 minutes.
I want to say firstly thank you very much for the update on the goings on.
that said the one thing myself and I’m sure plenty of others are wondering, is to those of us like myself that have been unable to play for a week approximately at this point, if there will be any kind of recovery of lost omega time?
any response in regards to this would be very much appreciated, and again thank you guys for the hard work you are doing to try and mitigate this as best you can

I’ve been able to login eventually which is better then some. I just lost my connection. Right now, if I can login, I’m getting stuck at “Done processing bulk data”.
I’ve managed to get something other than Authenticating or Time out. handshake fail - server failure
And connection lost at the first character select screen I’ve seen in 24 hours.
lol, terrible, especially #3 and #4, EVE would end up permanently under attack just so people would force that result.

not really the way i was hoping to come back to eve online. even tho i have been frustrated with the issues on more positive note. i really loved what i saw after like 18 months away. i know you guys will figure this all out. cant wait to learn all the great new adventures that await me.
I have problems with the chat (again), i have tons of lag and i need to make hundreds of attempts to connect into the game. I lost 1 week of omega thanks to this dissaster.
Wow, so I can finally get back into the game today. Everything still takes 10x longer than it should. So I am basically back to where I was on Friday, which kinda only reinforces my suspicion that CCP just took the weekend off.

So, it seems like the only way for many of us in eastern canada/america is to use a vpn… so in order to play a game we are paying for we have to pay someone else to allow us to play…
What the hell is going on? A week late with this post and more then a dollar short.
