Tranquility Connectivity Issues Megathread

Not much more to add other then from Chicago, I have not been able to log in successfully or stay logged in with any reliability for more then a few minutes since February 27th.

South East US. Takes on average 4-5 attempts to connect, and when I do connect, the input lag is horrendous and I get disconnected from the server within 5 minutes.

Its a very simple reason really, some code savvy eve players got tired of ccp handing out ships to some unnamed large alliance and decided to F ccp up. I hope the game never gets back to normal and everyone loses their S***. I truly hope they go bankrupt over this, i hope their servers fry and explode all at once. I hope the ground crumbles under their feet and they lose everything.

the first day of the attack i loss 2 marauders on a mission due to the horrible input lag, so i went to send a ticket for ship replacement and the two step authentication to enter the support site keeps barfing out error codes so i have sent direct emails to both support@eveonline and helpcenter@eveonline. Needless to say i have yet to get a single answer or receipt confirmation from them. They wont answer emails and i have sent 1 or 2 every days since jan 27th. However the reminders to pay subscription are coming in with no problem… interesting huh? they can email me to ask for money, but not to resolve any of my problems.

If you Yanks fuk up our servers, I will come find you goddamit

CCP, Thanks for the updates.

To the rest of you whining, you obviously are clueless on DDoS.

The people responsible are attacking all of us, this is not CCP’s fault, CCP owes us nothing.

We all however, owe the perpetrators of these actions one big can of Whoop Ass.

To the CCP Net Snipers…Sorry, Hunt Well Ladies and Gents…

I can imagine you sitting their with your CCP voodoo doll

In Toronto, Canada…I can finally (after several days) login to this forum. Having said that I cannot yet login to the game. Sigh

That makes no sense. Why would CCP connect into our clients? The client is initiating a connection to the servers and all the data travels over that connection. Responses from the server are automatically passed through (most firewalls/NAT are stateful).

If you are talking about outgoing filtering that is nearly never filtered and the out-ports tend to be randomised unlike in-ports.

if it helps iam in Canada. and I cant login and if I do its unplayable

the attack is not happening from a single source…its a planned attack by multiple parties, and the greatest thing is that the ports that are being pinged are essential to run TQ…so yeah, you dont get to play till the attackers decide is enough. There is nothing ccp or anyone can do but continue to snipe individual networks. Still the attackers will continue to rotate and increase the pressure at will. When you become truly impartial dear CCP, you will find players wont take actions against you as often. On the meantime, happy sniping week \o/

Yeah but it’s still nowhere near good enough so as to get EVE players to switch. Also, you need a monster of a rig to run it. That game is for the future. As for this issue with EVE, I really don’t know how they’re going to repair the damage this has done (and is still doing) to the game. It’s a shame because we all love this game.

Server gets DDOSed once every year starting from 2018 i belive. I don’t remember any DDOS attacks before that. This one was the biggest yet which as you can see it broke the server completely.

yet when we get back on i assure goons will get reimbursed heavily, the rest of you will just eat deek

VPN was resolving almost all issues except chat. Today VPN is still allowing to connect chat works but the game is terribly laggy. Traffic control on pretty much every gate. Sometimes unresponsive client/modules.

Midwest - USA

I live in lesser antilles and somehow unable to do a traceroute, the route stays stucked in the domain ā€œsiteprotect.security.neustarā€ for at least 90 nodes. most likely is this domain an ā€œanti DDOSā€ protection ā€œmeganodeā€ dunno, but what I know is that once i’m connected (after sometimes - around 10% of the time - a connection fail to login, or chat) I’m never disconnected or don’t have any lag. Maybe connecting a VPN to a server in the miami zone, making the route has to cross this node, or maybe opentransit nodes of south-east us coast, can give a plus to those having big issues ?

we fokt’em up real good…rotating vpn, attacking tcp outports, from 61 different location alongside the east coast. ā– ā– ā– ā–  ccp…you shoulda played fair…now, get fokt

@Cephalosa_Galactica M8. why you so salty it only a game ! Dont like what ccps doing find omething else no one here realy cares if you lost 2 pallis running lv4s . step of the high horse.
