I tried VPN/DNS and half a dozen other things I’m a retired computer design engineer so I sorta have a little idea of things can try and very little to no luck. Today at least seem to be able to get on occasionly but latency and dc’s so bad not gonna try to do anything as my normal sub cap ships are to damn expensive to lose for this problem

well there is 1 of the azzhats causing this and hes bragging Hope they ban him and all his little turd friends. Its a shame cause they get atcked they screw the game for everybody. When they got this fixed we should all go after him and his little friends and keep atcking them till they quit and go somewhere else so those of us adults don’t have to put up with the little crybaby kids like Cephalosa Galactica. I’ve lost several billion cause of this B.S. and oh well. Maybe Ccp compensates me maybe not I will post a ticket and hope but I not gonna ruin the game for everybody else. haha he’s clearly trolling although what I want t know is why CCP’s systems are ridiculously vulnerable to the point where it’s looking as though they’re never going to be able to resolve this. Assuming this really is the result of a DDOS attack, while it’s a shitty thing to do, the blame ultimately lies with CCP for not putting in place the correct security infrastructure. Loads of companies are hit by DDOS attacks and it takes a day or two to resolve.

Last night and today I have been able to connect via the normal launcher process. I have made zero changes to my system so it has all the settings from when this began.
Log in took about 10 to 20 times longer than normal but was successful.
All chats appear to be working.
Some menus in station open immediately, but my character sheet has huge lag. Took about 3 minutes to finally open. Noticeable lag selecting ships, probably about 5x normal. Was able to switch clones with little lag.
Lag is a bit better in space. But still not great. Sometimes none, other times about 3x longer than normal. Do have rubber banding and at one point my Keepstar showed up in the middle of my warp. Lol.
Update- DC’d while doing my Skilling Spree. Here is hoping my ship did not get killed. Hanging up on “Done Processing Bulk Data” in attempt to log back in. Finally got back and thankfully my Tengu was barely still alive.
Update- Lag in station has gotten much worse. Sometimes no lag. Other times it can take minutes for things to open. And now Disconnect number 2. I am going to try and get back into my training clone and call it a day.
Login 3 was faster but immediately disconnected in game.
Login 4 was very fast Menus open instantaneously. But now I can’t connect to any chat servers. But at least I got back into the right clone. Typing into the chat immediately appears to have fixed it.
If you want to sound badass at least try to make sense in your statements. The stuff you named has nothing to do with DDoS style attacks nor would it work against anyone, including CCP.
Dear CCP you won’t make me stop playing the game. I will be the last leaving. I will be the last who switches the lights off here!

I personaly think its to do how CCP eve server handles stress. Since me personaly, I do have some issues from my location to eve ever server but not as severe per say as some mentioned. So which makes me to beleive that its to do with diferent location nodes that are under a lot unwanted trafic assuming it is DDOS, which to me looks slightly different then your average DDOS attack.
It is actually not that easy to solve a DDoS in CCPs case. Majority of sites that get hit are sites that mainly serve content. That is trivial to distribute. However, CCP can’t easily distribute their incoming connections (one idea is the VPN thing I mentioned higher up in the thread where VPN is used to crate virtual entrances into the CCP network that can then be balanced). All the data needs to end up on TQ in order to run EVE.
They could move back chat servers as them being in the cloud makes absolutely no sense and is just making things worse as any kind of attack will be influencing the communication between TQ and the cloud provider and there are exactly zero benefits in having chat servers separate from TQ data centre and even less in the cloud (I suspect that someone at CCP fell for the cloud marketing ■■■■■■■■ and now we are stuck with a shitty unstable system).
That would at least mean that if you manage to connect to the game everything will actually work.
Romania, Sibiu, things got much better today, needed few logins to load chat everytime but otherwise normal gameplay. Note I play from a wireless satellite connection with my stupid ISP blocking most ports andgenerally being a very shitty 5Mb connection behind their firewalls so great improvement here.
DDoS Attack or not, what I know is that this new channel system has never been stable, at least once or twice a month there have been a problem with local. Imho CCP should really work first on this channel server stability before talking about a DDoS consequence
At least I’m able to login here and on the support forums today, so this has been fixed. Still not able to login using SSO from Midwest United States.
