Unable to login

ty @my_job_sux for linking the launcher version. :+1::+1:

I was able to login by switching to the older version as suggested above but I would consider this a temporary solution. We need the newest version to work so that the new security fixes make the application “safer”, relatively speaking. I’ll suggest that users should check back on this forum and enable automatic update once a fix has been released. I urge @CCP_Avalon to communicate this through updates channels on the launcher homepage and this forum once they have fixed the issue.

The downgrade is almost working for me. I get an error message, something like “system not ready for play”. Regardless, the launcher then seems to be logging me on, and then… the launcher closes itself without warning (I thought it had crashed), and then relaunches itself…as 1225328.3024! This despite cancelling the automatic update at the very beginning. Anybody know of someplace else to kill the automatic update? If I can stop that, I might be ok. Weird. Btw, I went through the above sequence of events something like 4 times, the last time completely uninstalling the launcher before installing the downgrade. Same result.

make sure before your instal the downgraded version that the previous version is the “released” one and not the “beta”. After that install the downgraded version. Cancel the automatic update and try it then. it worked for me and others so that seems to be the best option (for now).

Same here, I wonder if the issue is endemic to Macs in general

I have the same problem. Trying the roll back fix here soon. I think it is effecting macs by in large especially with people like me who don’t pin there accounts on purpose.

The roll back on the launcher didn’t work for me, it gives me an error and never starts the launcher. If they would let us login through the front end client we could get around this for the time being.

It’s not only mac, it’s pc too. Only messages I’ve seen someone post about a workaround on other discussions is a reset of the modem and router in an attempt to force an IP change. I’ve yet to try that, but maybe that will work for some.

I did a little digging and for those of us running mac book that still get an error with the earlier launcher 1376509. The launcher application is looking for a corebluetooth.framework. which isn’t present in 10.9 on macs. if you have 10.10 it should work just fine. I’m going to update my mac and see if I can use the rolled back launcher.

https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-61981 here is were i found the report.

Same for me, Mac OS 10.13.6 - displays error message for a second and then switches back to empty fields

I can confirm that in my instance the issue is isolated to my Mac running High Sierra. I boot camped windows 10 on the computer tonight and was able to sign in to Eve no problems. So the issue appears to be mac os related i would say

Maybe it is just on Mac there is no cancel button - I dont have one

tried this but the login pop window just stays white and doesn’t render anything, and i think it is only mac related, i really wish ccp would test this stuff before just releasing it

Does anyone know if the game can be launched without the launcher? I remember I could log in into the game directly, skipping the launcher in past

Experiencing the same issue on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04).

When using BETA launcher, I am able to see the login form, but after submitting credentials I get an empty white page and can’t do anything else.

Launcher log itself does not have anything written to it after launcher start is complete. Clicking login button and trying to login writes nothing more to the log :frowning:

you know what…how about you as a person that gets payed with our money fix the launcher and come back to us when it works again…

I forgot to mention it, but I had reverted to the “released” version from the “beta” before I tried the downgrade. Didn’t seem to help in my case, not sure why. I might have something to do with the hardware, I’ve got an old mac from 2011, but the OS is completely up to date.

Hi - as an update, I can now log in.

Sorry to say that I do not know which of the things I did made it work - deleting cache, reinstalling, praying to the lesser and greater Gods, downgrading the launcher, changing my passwords, and everything else mentioned on here

I think it was probably the praying

Well, now i can login too. Looks like launcher or server-side update.
