Understanding and Dealing with Ganks and Gankers

Cool. Now if we could just get you to stop siding with her lies that I am anti-ganking when I say what I really want most is things like pop ups at undock to remind people that all of EVE is a PVP area, including hi sec suicide ganking. But no no. She keeps lying, and you keep siding with her.

All you want is easy gameplay.

That’s insane…on various levels.

You can’t read my mind. You can’t even read my posts properly. Get outta town.

More insults? Still the hypocrite…

I said your claim was insane. Not you.

But if you want to make it you, you go right ahead.

See. You CAN`T read my posts properly.

What a load of hogwash. Again twisting things around in some demented way in an attempt to justify High Sec Suicide Ganking as the only form of non-consensual PvP.

People in a Battle Fleet in Low, Null or W-hole space have already consented to being attacked and even expect to lose their ships.

Explorers, Miners, Haulers and Tourists that get caught, attacked and destroyed in Low, Null or W-hole space who aren’t War-Targets are also victims of non-consensual PvP.

Now please stop trying to make it out that High Sec Suicide Ganking is the only form of non-consensual PvP. And more importantly, stop spreading your BS lies about me saying that I’m a supporter for removing non-consensual PvP from the game.

Its that sort of disjointed, random reply that makes it seem you are an unintentional troll. Regarless, you should be put out to pasture.

That’s all you have? Lame even by your low standards?

I disagree, most players traveling in Low, Null or W-hole space don’t have an assumption or illusion of guaranteed safety. If they’re not a War-Target and get attacked and destroyed, then they are also victims of non-consensual PvP… unless they’re actively looking for a fight.

Anyway, those who travel in those sectors that aren’t actually looking for a fight and end up getting caught / destroyed, well that’s too bad for them. That’s the risk they took for being in those sectors.

And I wholeheartedly agree.

Like I said, I’m all for ganking.

I guess my point would be while in the wh, I felt is was my responsibility to at least try to help them to learn after killing them?

In high sec, that doesn’t happen.

All you had to do was say that it’s a misquote, and that you’re not actually against it. Now I can remove your name from my prior post.

This is interesting. Are you saying that you’re fine with a rookie venturing out into low-sec and losing their barge or exploration frigate to pirates? What about 10-billion-ISK marauders or even more expensive freighters piloted by null-sec alts getting killed during suicide-ganks in high-sec?

Pirates like me? How could I say no?

Interesting anecdote: if you read EVE reviews on Steam, there’s a much higher incidence of people (new players who quit shortly after starting to play) complaining about getting killed in low-sec et cetera than there are people complaining about getting killed in high-sec. But even more complain about getting killed by NPCs.

That is a good point. Only CCP seems to be able to help with that.

I try to see it from both sides. But since you can only be a virgin once, even when I run the NPE, I have the advantage. As much as I try to see it from the new players viewpoint, but when I started, it was a hard game. Making it to easy seems to have become the problem.

Language, please, this is a public forum.

(TLDR: people generally don’t read “click-through” warning text)

(TLDR: warning messages for prior victims of some sort, which actually do get read, actually do more harm than good)
