High sec is 0.5 to 1.0 space as defined by CCP itself. It’s where CONCORD exists and will enforce rules. Low sec is 0.1 to 0.4 where CONCORD does not exist and null is -1.0 to 0.0 where there are additional mechanics.
Hi I’m an introvert, but that does not mean I should limit the game play of those who are not. This is an MMO, group play is the center point of the game. If this offended you, may I suggest a game like Stellaris or other single player games.
If you think that the only use of omega time is active isk making then you’re doing it wrong. Stop trying to change systems you don’t understand.
0.5 is literally highsec as per CONCORD. The number can be rainbow colored for all I care, but if you shoot someone in 0.5 illegally say bye-bye to your ship.
You can solo mine all you like. The losing money is a skill issue, and also this is an MMO.
Well I’ve been away from the forum because I actually spend alot of time in game. Presently enjoying FW immensely (not this toon so don’t go BSC on me).
The usual tripe is going down here so let’s get to work.
No Veldspar is not more valuable than R4 moon goo AFTER they’re processed. The bid / ask spreads for raw moon ore are awful whilst Veldspar pricing is quite efficient so a comparison is useless. Even so, only uncompressed unprocessed Sylvite is less valuable than Veldspar by a measly 8% (all prices assume Jita Buy for simplicity) . Compressed moon goo pricing is more efficient meaning that’s where the market is. Once you reprocess compressed R4 ores, the constituent parts are 41-65 percent more valuable than the Tritanium extracted from similar volumes of Veldspar.
Running the requisite reactions with moon ore and then producing Faction/T2 components produces some outstanding values. And the iskies keep coming if you know which ships to build.
The moral to the story here is…you can’t step on grid with barest of skills and equipment with expectations of ISK bonanzas. It doesn’t work that way in any part of Eve. You can’t jump to low sec in a Condor with level 3 frigate skills and T1 modules with the expectations of being a PVP ace drowning in loot. It don’t work that way. CCP has constructed the game such that success only comes after a great deal of time, learning and effort have been expended. If you think about it, the content would suffer greatly if mastery is achieved too easily.
I spent my first two years in Eve as a miner. I now have 6 mining alts, an Orca, a fleet of Hulks, a Porpoise and near max skill points in all things mining / industry (except the Science and Capital classes). In the last year I’ve spent some time roaming in small to medium fleets and recently joined Faction Warfare. After less than three weeks I have 12 faction battleship bpcs from the LP store. Since I already make faction battleships, I have the industry infrastructure (requisite bps, minerals, etc.) already in place. So by next week I’ll have 7 billion in one particular faction battleship class in the Jita market along with my usual stuff.
Yup this lazy carebear farms Triglavians; Autothysian Lancers; Edencom; mines a little moon goo; builds faction ships; roams low sec and fights in the Minmatar Militia.
Not so sure about that. A skilled player can farm lowsec afk crabs hard for loot with a t1/meta fit condor on an alpha account. Needs a hauler alt in addition though, as a condor can’t haul all the loot it can produce.
Many militia pilots build ships from BPCs and get kills. I count myself in that number. I know lowsec and nullsec pilots alike that use Indy profits to fuel their hunting schenanigans.
