Upcoming Changes to Drone Aggression

This will be quite a pain for abyssal runners using drone boats. Blinding leshaks can sometimes force you to lock on at 20km ranges, which is pretty frustrating when flying at 600m/s, and entering the arena at 70km away. That 20 minute ticking clock suddenly seems a lot more scary.

Good. Endgame PvE should be scary.

Which would be an ultimate botting buff, because bots are mostly deployed in an isolated environment from each other anyway. Are you working in CCP perhaps?

If an NPC damps a player (Blinding Leshak in the Abyss), a player probably won’t be able to lock the NPC (in an Abyss example the Leshaks start at range) and the drones won’t respond. I guess attentive players will be forced to use propulsion modules or die. R.I.P Abyssal passive regen Gila.

maybe u should use ur 3 braincells to realize this only favors bot lmao

So I won’t be doing Project Discovery whilst doing missions. Great job guys

That change is also a major buff for botting. Supporting it BEFORE bot issues are resolved, you support botting, which is against your claims, but since you’re full of bs anyway, your actions speak for themselves, bot supporter.

No, it’s at best neutral for bots. It’s a positive change that forces non-bot players to actively play the game, and nothing about it prevents CCP from doing other things to get rid of bots.

Nonsense. Nothing about this makes bots more effective. In fact, by removing “legitimate” players who AFK farm for long periods of time CCP can now more effectively use “time engaged in PvE” as a flag for suspected botting activity.

As someone who just came back after over a year of not playing I’m just disappointed across the board. I was expecting to come back to Mutaplasmid’s having a nice market interface, logi being on killmails, and an even broader range of activities that you can do. This change destroys what I would use to fund the other, more fun, activities. The things I actually want to do: abyssal deadspace, fleets, wh hunting… I enjoy hunting VNI’s that are afk ratting and VNI ratting myself. There’s great content for everyone there. I don’t want making shitty-levels of isk to feel like a boring job. I cannot understand why there appears to be a lack of wanting to guard the different things people want or appreciate playing in this game.

At a basic level what this change produces is if you’re doing combat sites you gotta press “f” a lot and that’s the core of the change. There may or may not be a ton of side effects but that’s the change. That’s boring and tedious. Why would this be implemented?

Botters are going to be pumped about this, less competition.
Hunters are hurt by this.
Low-skill null players are hurt by this (oh yeah, lets force them to be bored out of their mind!)
Miners are hurt by this (can’t afk anoms? better afk mine)
ESS changes were worthless if we’re going to drive people away from combat anoms

There’s nothing more discouraging from CCP then coming back to the game with very obvious features still not built (but promised) and random, half-baked, bandaids instead of systemic overhauls.

I have this secret hope that they’ve been working on Eve 2 behind the scenes and that’s why they haven’t been deep diving into improving Eve but I’m also sure that isn’t the case…

Welcome to the world of miners for the last year, all you ratters.

I’d love to see CCP lean into how garbage combat anoms are and how people love afkable stuff in this game. They could add a purpose built afk mini game. Gives you a list of different waves with different ships in each wave and you select the type and number of drones for each wave then watch it play out. You’d be in space for the duration open to being attacked as well… Lean into the areas that are the biggest weakness in CCPs mind. Don’t just blindly try to remove them with poorly thought out bandaids.

I don’t even undock and still had to Post Yikes … just yikes. Can’t deal with botters make it worse for the active remaining players yep Logic. Meanwhile Botters just have to add a few lines of code to their scripts now.
Time to update those bots Boys to teach them how effective that change is.

back to flipping stuff.

instead will rely on player Macro-issued commands to initiate action against a designated target.

Fill player actions with Tedium and make sure there’s less competition for bots. All while making sure to forget to engage the CSM about it so they can’t tell you an obviously bad idea is obviously bad. Classic CCP.

This will be my last straw. I’ve played since 2004. This is punishing subscribing players. I have no reason to have multiple accounts now. If I have to micro-manage already dull and grindy pve experiences. I cannot do this without botting. And I’m not botting so I’m out. No looking back. And you can change it back afterwards. I won’t be back. Too much. Pearl Abyss obviously has no concern about the game play or quality of life for active subscribing players. EA might aswell of gotten this game. This happens. I’m out for good. Was fun while it lasted.

spot on

This is the engaging content I’ve been waiting for! This is why people love combat anoms!

Pa is innoncent.
PA want money, and when Hilmar and firend go to far (blackout) it’s PA who make it end brutally.

If you want blame someone, blame Hilmar and his game designer team.

P.S: can i have you’re stuff ?(it will avoid me to try to farm for a moment)

To be fair, as PA is a hands off publisher who has no one working at CCP in charge of game development and PA has no actual direct control of the game’s development…

In reality it’s obvious PA have make 1 intervention: End the blackout. It’s why it was announce so fast and end suddently and all annoucement come a lot latter.
