So you admit your use of the word broken was wrong?
100% it is not broken, otherwise we all wouldnât be able to play at all!
Why canât you rat in Ishtars anymore? Nothing changed for this. Except for the auto-aggression-AFK-farming-thing. Subscribe or die. Well, I have already adapted. Whatâs next?
True, but the idea that one can finance itâs sub with ingame money has an appeal on certain potential customers. CCP can make it more difficult to reach that goal but they have to keep that feature, thatâs good publicity IMO. I remember how i was fascinated by this PLEX thing when i started.
PvP Multiboxing against a gang of 10 is totally fine and challanging.
That is it. Thatâs what this is all about and why many people get upset.
Look at the amount of Plex orders compared to the last year. We are about halfway there. CCP has to adjust, otherwise the whole PLEX story will go down the drain.
This chaos era is good if it helps curbing the capital and citadel proliferation. The PLEX market is secondary.
No?
Your opening sentence ensured I dismissed anything else you had to say.
Perhaps learn how to communicate like an adult if you want a sensible reply?
Is this retardation for real? You get banned for posting the same message repeatedly and no where does CCP tell you that this is now a thingâŚ

What actions should the mining barge take to order for all the drones to attack the NPC in assist mode?
Changing drones aggro is the worth thing that couldâve been done by CCP, really. Bots are quite capable of targeting and pressing F, so it will harm only real players. As for me, Iâm playing with 1 account and I like half-afk farming, Mining is naturally killed by multiaccounting, mining with one window is almost unprofitable. So doing rats on gila/ishtar was my way of making some money while I couldnât play active - and it allowed me to have some PvP later. But now, being forced to spend all my active time on boring farm, I cannot afford to have even closely as much PVP as before. The game is pretty dead for such guys as me now
I was with you until you went on to define a âreal playerâ as someone AFK who makes money on an Ishtar when they canât actively play.
Thatâs not a real player.
This should never have been a thing you were able to do.
Many have grown entitled to their right to be AFK and perhaps we should blame CCP for that, but itâs a ridiculous thing to feel entitled to be able to do.
It would be bannable in most games.
As above, when you canât play active, you canât play. Welcome to games that arenât riddled with bots and AFK farmers raking in millions while out with their dog.
This should never have been a thing.
Itâs broken, itâs wrong, itâs bad.
You can but not at the levels you grew accustomed to. How much is a Merlin? How long does it take you to do that boring farm to buy a Merlin? PvP in a Merlin.
Nah, you donât want to PvP in a Merlin do you?
So cmon, be honest here. Affording a ship to PvP in isnât the issue.
This is part of what CCP is trying to address, that everyone feels entitled to PvP in a Dreadnought with funds earned without even being at the keyboard. Itâs like half the population of EVE only wants to play half of EVE.
They either need to scrap ISK altogether and give everyone free ships so they can pew pew all day long (I think they call that Singularity) or you need to do something to earn ISK.
How readily, how publicly people declare their perceived right to earn billions without being at the keyboard is stunning to me. Just shows how rotten to the core EVE has been allowed to become.
EVE = Everyoneâs Very Entitled
Câmon CCP , fix drone Autoattack, plz. Pilot can mining AFK , let us ratting AFK.
Is there any special trick to see Salvage Drone II Blueptints in Contracts? I listed one, but it does not show when searching for themâŚ
Waiting for CCP to fix their database.

well that is 2.000.000.000 / 10 = 200.000.000 per hour per ton.
Somehow i doubt that even if you have 10 supers at hand with which you are ratting.
Thereâs so much focus on the economic impacts of drone changes that most discussion is missing how this is a foundational shift.
- Deleting foundational principles like drones having some limited autonomy is really quite a radical step.
- Is EVE is the first live MMO in 25years to remove itâs drone/companion/pet mechanics instead of fixing itâs content?
- The economic and attentive play aims may well be positive - but they would be better achieved by making attentive play more rewarding than it is currently and less attentive, multi-boxing play less rewarding than it is currently.
- Itâs up to devs to design to reinforce positive behaviour by making more complex more attention required content that gives better rewards and phase out good rewards for low attention content.
- People who actively play 1 account and happen to use drones are taking the punishment for the devs leaving overly lucrative overly easily (semi-)afk-able content in their game.
- EWAR will become more dangerous without drones having any protect self or owner functionality.
- Punishing drones still doesnât change much content being overly rewarding for how easy it is to (semi-)afk. (where do you daw the lines next to keep avoiding content changes? hello auto-target missiles, hello turrets & launchers that empty their magazine and reload etc will these be the next overly simplistic scapegoats for devs avoiding doing the work on fixing content risk/reward/attention?)
- Expecting drones to continue having some limited autonomy is no more inherently bad or evil than liking playing for example a necromancer or a ranger with pets in another MMO.
- Pets should be turned back on in the future: Being able to react to and engage multiple threats to themselves or owners is the minimum bar for drone/pet/companion status across the MMO genre. Many MMOs have far more complex behaviour possibilities than that -but dev teams everywhere fix content to co-exist with drone/pet mechanics. Itâs expected for a MMO to include drones/pets.
- Drones will now more closely resemble fragile turrets but with long engage times, short weapon range that put them in danger, no protection from the ships tank, and the liability to be targeted EWARâd and killed in ways turrets do not have. Missile are much better at changing damage type without lower multipliers and tracking drawbacks etc.
You can want the AFK-ratting/mulit-boxing etc situations to be fixed, yet still want drones to retain what makes them a drone and not a fragile dumb turret thing. Itâs a reasonable position.

How about using a different ship to run those sites then?
If you arenât running high end stuff, then you donât need a battleship for everything.
Ah yes, another iteration of the poverty patches, with the added bonus of messing with cloning in stations for no good reason, just to add more tedium no one wants, in an already tedious game.
âTrust usâ, the devs say. To that I say: Trust is earned, the only thing you have earned is mistrust.
