The point is that people would be able to use drone assist to continue AFK farming in a more limited fashion, but still AFK farming nonetheless.

For me in fact is as new Player i buyed Omega, i buyed abot 2,25 Milloin SP for round about 160 Euro and Trained my One and only Char in the one and only Game i ever played longer than 3 or 4 weeks.
I trained the Char so i can have a good Game experience and all was fine. Yesterday CCP changed the Gameplay in a way that my Fun is gone and i have a shitty feeling when i play. I literally want my Skillpoints Back, i never would have buyed them (with the real! Money) and invest in Drones when the Drones had been so bad to play like now. I want the Gameplay fun back i have paid for. Not more not less.
One solution could be that the Drones attack only the locked npc targets and make some dodging moves when their aktuell Target is destroyed or warped away. So the Player has to lock the Targets manually and send them out. The Argument the Change is against Botters and AFK Multiboxers has the Problem that these Poeple will use a better Bot tomorow and cheat us again. Not so tech affine Players like me are ā ā ā ā ā ā up.

Not really.
Itās mostly about the inability of people being able to accept their playstyle has been nerfed, and that now they require more effort to keep it running smoothly.
In your case, thatās ratting with two battleships on site, which shouldnāt be too hard to adapt and manage, but in other peopleās cases, itās 10+ chars.
Good luck to them adapting and mantainign their gameplay. 
If a restaurant changes the menu in ways I donāt like Iām hardly going to keep eating there, now am I?
Or if I do, Iām going to SPEND LESS MONEY there and/or come by less, IF I still come at all. If I donāt come that means they get NO MONEY. Savvy?
Some of you lot seem to think this is any different. IT ISNāT!
The thing is, your restaurant had waiters mouth-feeding you your meals for the past years, but now they are changing their policies, so you must eat your own meal by yourself.
The customers who enjoy mouth-feeding can complain, or head to another restaurant to see if they mouth-feed their clients, but people who come to the restaurant for the taste of the food will probably remain, even if they have to use their own hands to eat now.
