dat hisec mining…

Hisec mining didn’t change much.

It’s nullsec mining that ceased to exist.

Thanks for that. So it appears it’s pretty much all of the east side of nullsec, from Jove space in the north all the way down and around to Stain in the south… that got hit by the partial or full belt removals.

Nice time to live in the NW, W, or SW, eh? (not that there’s much ratting or mining going on in the SW atm, most likely… dem Dark Blood Multifreq L crystals… like 300, 400, 500 mil ISK in Jita lately. PER CRYSTAL. ;D)

eh, Forge and Metropolis both above 1000 on that map… Sinq Laison and Domain a bit under 1000 (ah, the days when Domain woulda been higher)… and then on down… Lonetrek and Everyshore and Tash-Money were higher once.

It’s not what it used to be. No anoms in HS, for one thing. No regular ore in the moon belts no more.

Random ice… but I did see 3 ice anoms up in Kamio at once the other day during the Guristas Easter event… 0 in Halaima next door. :::shrugs:::

why tho?

More stick and no carrot. More garbage to screw over miners/indy players. Nothing like making the game a bigger headache and give nothing out as a reward for having to jump through more hoops. Just another trash update in 2 years of trash updates.

And boy do i miss it

If you’re more inclined towards ahem removing miners from belts the NE of empire space looks highly interesting :innocent:

Nope. Sarcasm.

I am neither ganker nor gank victim by trade, but… I will be there with salvager IIs, ready to clean up the mess.

You are still trolling, right ?

No? Well, since you are into insults to a big community, by insinuating people in high-sec don’t have to use their brain, I’ll turn it back to you. You probably don’t use your brain much as Trigs gate camp are not the most common thing happening in high sec. I can’t see how sitting on your chair waiting for Trigs to spawn anywhere in the galaxy and fly in time* can be the reason you log on each day.
*From what I’ve witnessed first hand, they spawn for very short time, like 10 minutes, most probably less. They clearly spawn less often than the Autothysian Lancer. So seriously, tell me how many fleets did you successfully setup and actually arrived on time to fight Trigs, in say the last 2 months ?

Now, as always, you isolate each sentences to remove the global picture of my post.
I’ll use your own words : use your brain : there is so many ways you can play this game. Tell me how you can’t fleet up to do anything of interest ? Anything ? like kicking some Trigs booty in Pochven (don’t isolate that sentence, look at the picture). If you were role-playing “Cypherous The Valorous” saving space truckers from Trigs in high-sec, why don’t you role-play “Cypherous The Conqueror”, fleeting up to fight Trigs in Pochven (or Minor Victory systems) to gain back the loss systems. That is the relevant part you force yourself in not seeing : you want to fleet up, organize against Trigs, then fleet up and go find Trigs. Simple

But oh, you don’t care much about Trigs, and what you are actually after is the idea of fleeting up, and do something meaningfull to help people? Well, as you say : use your brain, and fleet up and go hunt some gankers! No NPC triangles to shoot.

Nope, still not trolling

Actually they kind of were, i help run a community of people who were interested in combating the trigs, they quite enjoyed the feeling of “saving” people from trigs and we provided useful resources and information to those people smart enough to actually look for them, so yeah, the trigs are pretty much what has kept me paying money over the last 7 months, community is a powerful thing

See thats the thing, the fleets don’t just “spawn” they roam around the system, they used to have the chance of landing on gates, in belts and on stations, and depending on the number of connections you could have multiple roaming fleets active in a given system at any given time which definitely made some systems quite spicy from time to time, and we have regularly had people shooting at them, mostly in small numbers in each location, given there will always be 27 C729 WH’s active at any given moment

We were even in the process of trying to arrange dual standings fleets to help people gain positive standings with the trigs in larger numbers than just your single standings tick to avoid camps for the people wanting to use Pochven

Sure i could go shoot triangles, but the part you’re missing is, i’m not doing it just for the sake of shooting triangles, i’m not doing it because its profitable, i’m doing it because it creates a community, the social experience is the only real part of EVE that matters, sure i could go play EVE as a single player game and make ISK hand over fist, but that isn’t actually fun, i get that a lot of people these days seem to be against the whole “multiplayer” part of this MMO but that is definitely the wrong way to be playing EVE

Because there isn’t any real need for me to fleet up to kill triangles, killing them is the easy part and like i said above, i could go spend ages killing them, this isn’t about roleplaying anything its about building connections with players over common goals in the true spirit of EVE, the social aspect is king

I don’t really care about gankers, they are a legit gameplay style and they provide a valuable service in reminding people that you’re not safe anywhere, this encourages people to pay attention and communicate with each other, there is already an anti-ganking community and they are fairly active already, and i sit in their public channels and shoot the breeze with them, sure i “could” go do it but shooting criminals doesn’t actually really do anything and it certainly isn’t using my near 17 years of experience to help anyone

@CCP_Dopamine can you explain what that really means?

They will only target you now, and leave the rest of us alone ?

Belt ratting was my favorite thing to do in Eve tbh. Pew is pew but this was my rest my head go to.
This is also how made my ISK for the most part. Hell belts were the main income for null players when i started to play. And now that needed to be changed for some reason.
If i was ever close to quitting this game this is it. 10+ years and this is how it is going to end :joy:

Balancing:
Added Pirate Asteroid spawns to Stargates in nullsec systems

Veeeeery iiiiinteresting. Anyone had a chance to play with these yet?

Devs: be interested to know, was this the initial plan, or a response to concerns raised re: ADMs etc?

Either way, new gameplay and new things is good. Can the “CCP just want us to buy Plex” reeee crowd tone it down just one notch now maybe? Plskthx.

Added Pirate Asteroid spawns to Stargates in nullsec systems

They already spawned on gates and some systems only have one gate in and out how this supposed to help adms in dead-end systems? @CCP_Dopamine

At least they tried to add something back, forgetting that there are already pirate spawns on gates in nullsec.

That leaves a few other things they overlooked with the ore redistribution:

  1. the removal of 14k+ belts from the eastern part of the map, leaving entire regions without static belts
  2. the annoying side effect that many storyline missions in hisec still require ores that are now only to be found in lowsec, neither worth the price of the ore on the market nor the value of a ship to go mining for them. Sure, it’s only standing and the occasional implant. But broken nonetheless.

Yay they fixed something, sure. Now for the rest of the stuff that’s broken …

This was always the case, they always spawned on gates, so this makes this line even more cryptic.

Once the PLEX pressure comes down at least one notch instead of skyrocketing.

Ohh Orca, I think the Plex pressure will always be high - CCP wants your money, have no doubt on that. It’s the constant complaints that every change (or cockup) is designed to force people to buy Plex instead of playing the game that grate.

Not sure if I read this wrong but I thought it may be a new asteroid spawn rather than just rats. But still at work, so no idea if that’s the case. Or, if it is just rats, will it be a chance for carriers or haulers to spawn at gates rather than just the usual groups of standard rats? Either way, needs some poking to find out!

“Added Pirate Asteroid spawns to Stargates in nullsec systems, which have been removed following the removal of Asteroid belts on Tuesday 13 April.”

This is garbage. Keep the rats where they belong in anoms, belts, etc. The gate rats that were already there were annoying enough for PVP. We don’t need more of them. Yet another anti-PVP update from CCP.
