Version 20.02 - General Feedback

Why are you not mining in ROKIE SHIP THEN. Go and enoy the scenery…:

FOR F SAKE GROW UP.

The sound of entering a gate is useful when you’re alt-tabbing between traveling toons.

And that “Reee Reee Reee” is handy when you’ve fallen asleep at the keyboard and are being ganked.

The community at large (and your definition of community will depend entirely on who you ask) thinks this is a positive change, as filaments reduced or elimated the risk that previousily existed.

In an eviction scenario defenders could filament their assets out safety, which otherwise would either be lost or had to be logged off in. In the same scenario the attackers could extract their entire fleet in one swoop if the odds turned against them, rather than fight / die over hole control.

Rolling battleships (and other ships) could easily extract themselves if they got rolled out, previousily they would need to find another exit out which obviousily posed some level of risk.

There’s plenty of people crying about the changes who are the same people who abused the mechanic to take advantage of the extremely risk averse nature of filaments. Another example are people who go into a wormhole with a large expensive ratting fleet (not disimilar to incursions) and then use filaments to get out if danger shows up / exit the wormhole without needing a scanner.

Ahh, yes - all caps, the response of a very mature and sensible forum poster.

My point, made a little dramatically of course, is that complaining that a way to generate fights “isn’t worth it” due to the amount of isk to be made is a pretty silly statement.

If you only get into fights because of the profit, no wonder you talk IN ALL CAPS a lot. Lack of stimulation does funny things to one’s mind.

Personally, I have ways of making Isk and ways of spending it. Taking fights is a way of spending said Isk, not making it.

That is why I felt your suggestion that a fight generation mechanic “isn’t worth it” due to the poor Isk available was a risible statement worth poking fun at.

But explaining the joke rarely has a positive effect on its amusement factor

‘Inspired by’, not ‘asked for’. Technically, if a whole buttload of players told CCP ‘thanks for letting us filament out of J-space!’ and CCP went ‘waitaminnit…’ that would qualify, too.

Why? The money going into the Reserve bank has already been written off by the people generating that money. Why do you think ‘there’ll be more in there that you can’t get to without the key nonsense from the other end of space’ will encourage people to care?

We are the Brits. You will be assimilated. Your culinary and linguistic capabilities will come to service ours. Localization is futile.

Oh, man, that went live? HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH. At least half the CSM told them not to do that crap.

RED DOT 2.0: This time it blinks at you!

So glad I keep the neocom on auto-hide.

@Lesican was, it seems.

Yeah, they do that in null, too. Don’t hear us whining ‘disable filamenting out of nullsec’, though.

I mean, they’re posting here, we know that’s not the case. None of us are mature or sensible. We play EVE Online.

Definitely better than blinking, as a workaround thats a good idea. It is less practical for production, trading, etc. I am not a keyboard shortcut person. Maybe I should change that.

y’all finally fisked the isk printing faucet of ratting, and just entirely undid everything that was done to fix it while leaving in the buffs to isk supply through high brms…

You do realize now, that CCP will be required to provide samples of homeblest at fanfest, so that your fans will fully understand what you are referring to… that and some hot chocolate…

Just for the record, I oppose any blinky NeoCom icon. I don’t like blinky, at all. Orange, red, whatever.

Bots filling an ESS to rob for real players is a good thing, isn’t it?

and they’ll have to call it ‘festblest’.

well if the isk going to reserve bank that almost nobody rob cause its pointless and to risky. Then is like CCP done practicly nothing.

Pointless patch.

If they had even one brain cell and move the isk into standart bank it whud actuali make sence and promote pvp and stealing. But this way its ussles

Yeah but if it’s just the reserve bank like it seems right now, it won’t do much good, even with the increased payout from this update. Keys needs to be way more readily available for it to make stuff happens.

The new blinking skill icon is extremely annoying.

Blinking can be switched off for all other icons, or acknowledged by mouse hovering… so why can it not be switched off for the new (and weird shaped) skill icon? There should be uniformity in the Neocom.

Speaking of turning off blink: @CCP_Swift You ought to tell the developers that they should also make the DLC icon and Redeem Window adhere to the “Disable Button Blink”. I have turned Button Blink off for both but both keep blinking every day, mocking this setting.

Nobody needs blinky or flashy animations in static UI elements. Yes i am talking to you “You have no skills in training!”-Neocom. This effect is extremly disturbing on 2 of 3 characters per account.
Remove the paywall from Multiple Character Training and we can talk again. This way around it is a no-no.
