cant use all 6 accs when docked, as new graphics hammers cpu, literally the straw that will break the proverbial camels back when u cant use all yr alts because of graphics issues - expect to go potatoe in a fleet of 600, not to dock in upwells…
we should be able to spin our regular caps in structures like we used to. let them dock in seperate bays from supers. it seems silly to use a super/titan bay for the considerably smaller capital ships.
That’s a bit emotional and overstated. If you put all clients in the background with Win-D, the computer doesn’t draw any power for the clients.
Once again, one of those unobjective comments. The update is not a piece of crap, it just needs optimizations. I have none of these problems with my three clients. So it must be your hardware/connection too.
Most bad-tempered gamers once again don’t understand what Game Development means. Why don’t you go to SISI early, test the new features and make the effort to report problems? No? Then just live with the fact that a new patch always needs revision through feedback. And constructive feedback at that, not with that aggressive a**h*le mentality of little kids. If you don’t like it all, then get out of the game and biomass your accounts. And you are finally redeemed from this badly designed game and CCP.
After a few days, I have only one criticism, like most here: The docking sequence should be changed so that the process is more game dynamic, instead of technical with a message and SoundFX. Those who like it should be able to turn it on. And much more important is the performance problem with the new hangars. I myself have not tested it on SISI, but wonder why this problem still exists. It should have been an issue in the beta stage. My RTX 3070 with 8GB VRAM only manages 40fps. This needs to be optimized urgently because the frustration of gamers with weaker computers is understandable. Above all, it hinders the workflow when you want to switch ships quickly, which can be important in some situations.
The (un)docking sequence is just timed to the session timer change from my understanding. Similar to the jump gate animation. It just fills a black screen in between with visual content.
Game running smoothly and looking great.
I find the docking beep pretty annoying
I know it’s been mentioned a thousand times and normally I don’t sperg but: wtf CCP, this is just dumb. There is zero need for skins to have that much spacing.
I suspect that this negative space will be well occupied in future updates.
Such details and unintended hints delight me.
Yeah that’s why I initially didn’t bother to sperg about it right away (and also because I expected them to fix it in the patch after the update). But the thing is that there’s no need for it to to show more, that’s what the 3D window is for. It really just needs to show a tiny part of it.
Assuming they’re going to use that full circle they could make it 20-40% smaller and it would still have enough space for whatever they want to do.
I also don’t waste any resources if I don’t even start up EVE (if they are in the background I can use them to play the game). Problem for CCP, is that then the question “Why am I paying them bunch of money every month?” shows up.
My system can easily handle 4 clients on max graphics in space and everything works fine (outside of TiDi fights). However, single docked client races GPU to the max for no real benefit. Yes it looks pretty but we interact with other parts of the UI so can barely see the fancy graphics anyway.
You mean like with Photon UI. Please stop wasting so much space has been number one complaint since it was shown up on SISI. They have done exactly nothing to fix it, and have, in fact, been ruining the old UI as evidenced by the new skin UI change.
I know that it is hard to comprehend for modern “developers” but EVE is NOT a mobile game, it is NOT a dumbed down gambling simulator, IT IS the most complex game in existence and it needs a complex and optimised UI rather than atrocity they are pushing because someone at CCP heard that informationless mobile UI is the future (preferably with a single “send money to CCP” button in it).
I don’t think EVE is ever going to have a mobile client (other than what it already has)
But sure they are using mobile graphic design principles, which is utterly wrong in this context
The FW plex system was over done. It just seems like you have to constantly reship all the time to get into the right plex and get or/set for a fight. They’ve basically just become an extension of the dueling system. You get in said ship and then I’ll have to go get the exact ship (class) and we’ll fight. Alternatively the numbers advantage becomes everything. Zero sense warping in on a party that outnumbers you. They’ve essentially just become hiding holes. Go get 2 (or whatever #) navy dessies and plex uncontested.
Honestly the only ships getting muscled out under the old system were T1 frigates. It would have been so easy to just create an “entry” level plex for T1 frigates and leave everything else as was. Instead we get this over engineered cluster @#$%# that makes it harder to get dynamic fights, makes us constantly have to reship and has essentially created plexing hidey holes for dessy pairs.
But if they are keeping their EVE Anywhere web-client options open it makes a great deal of sense.
After downloading new patch the game is crashing constantly in 5 sec everytime i log in. Anyone had the same problem?
EDIT: turns out reinstalling the game helps; maybe im in minority but i like new docking animation;
To be fair. It is available if you are willing to spend a couple of quid on plex to enable a 24hr stream capability that garners you access to the New Eden Store.
Thanks CCP.
EvE isnt going to need a mobile client, thats the fun part.
Its the hardware able to run it that will change.
Dust on PS3 was mental
But EvE on the Switch will be hilarious
There are no sounds on mining turrets, i.e, mining lasers, strip miners, mining drones, etc. It affects the immersion, not in a good way. I cleared the cache and even reinstalled the game but still no sound.
