I bought a corporate logo for my mini shuttle to see what it looked like. It seems to sit somewhat away from the surface of the ship, and is a little bigger than the front plain it is applied to, kind of like it is a projection of some kind rather than a painted on logo. Also I thought it massive in size, when perhaps subtle would have been my preference. I removed it. Is it better on other ships?
Feedback to a beta version doesnât mean that all this will be fixed for the planned release. I am pretty sure they put the comments on a task list but set different priorities for their release plans. Most people have no clue what software development means.
Could say the same thing about CCPs UI development efforts. In general EVE needs higher and better information density rather than lower and every thing they have developed in the last few years has been exactly the mobile trend BS of less and less information on the screen making it just harder to play the game. It might be acceptable for a single player user who runs missions in high sec, it is less so for those of us that interact and coordinate with others. My logi clients barely see any space on the old UI, with photon it is simply impossible to fit everything on the screen due to so much wasted space. But good that they donât consider that worthy of change, they gave us a âcompactâ mode that cuts functionality needlessly (there is plenty of space for minimise and close buttons) so even CCP realised that waste of space was an issue, sadly they didnât cut the waste but utilityâŚ
The popups when hovering over skins in inventory are exactly as appreciated as the big âADD TO QUEUEUEUEUEâ popup when hovering over an item you cannot currently use - namely not at all.
Just because 1/100 people have to ask once how to apply a skin we all now need this flashy label?
Please make things like that at least optional.
When looking through skin collections now 50%+ of the time is spent moving the mousecursor offscreen to get rid of that shitty popup.
Iâd like to add that there is the same problem with the skill catalogue in the new skill interface, the popup is covering the skills above
I canât find any killmarks on my ships. Where did they go?
Please fix the lag issues . When I undock from a station (specially Jita 4-4) , my 1 min invuln timer expires until I can barely move my camera around. Game performs very poorly when undocking from stations and jumping on gates. Textures also load slowly . This is unacceptable for a game running from an SSD.
Switching everything on low settings also does not help much. So what to I need to play the game now ? An i-9 last gen , 64 GB of RAM and 2x RTX 4090 ?!
Just for the record it is actually 30 seconds.
https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Timers#Location_Change_Timer
Whenever you undock from a station, thereâs a visible timer that makes you invulnerable for 30 seconds or until you move âŚ
What did you guys do with my notes folders? Theyâre all gone as of today!
@CCP_Paragon The navy nag has incorrect geometry bone indices on some attachments and decals which results in unexpected behaviour when different animation modes are engaged (flicking between âSiegeStartâ, âNormalLoopâ and âLayer1Loopâ makes them quite obvious).
The low res images below are from the current build taken from twitter, and the sharper ones from an external ship viewer which uses the same spaceobjectfactory data as the client.
- Set: SpriteSet âPrimary_Animatedâ
- Item: SpriteSetItem [11]
- Current Bone Index: 28
- Expected Bone Index: 7
- Issue: Not attached to correct geometry bone and results in incorrect animation

- Set: SpriteSet âPrimary_Animatedâ
- Item: SpriteSetItem [12,13,14,15,16,17]
- Current Bone Index: 28
- Expected Bone Index: 7
- Issue: Not attached to correct geometry bone and results in incorrect animation
- Set: SpriteSet âPrimary_Animatedâ
- Item: SpriteSetItem [112,113]
- Current Bone Index: 7
- Expected Bone Index: pretty sure they should be 0
- Issue: Not attached to correct geometry bone and results in incorrect animation
- Item: SpaceObjectDecal âWarninglabel02â
- Current Bone Index: -1
- Expected Bone Index: 0
- Issue: Not attached to correct geometry bone and results in incorrect animation and Z-fighting when not animated
This shows the issues better than screenshots although you can see them quiet clearly in the latest trailers: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
There may be movement on this!
" * Adjusted the size and height of the SKINs cards in the Fitting Window.
- Adjusted the size of the SKINs icon circle and the SKIN icons."
Just waiting for the server to come back online to test. Hopefully theyâve improved it - and hopefully this means that weâll see some other changes that will improve things!
Is it any better?
They appear to have made the skin icon inside the circle a bit bigger. But thereâs still FAR too much wasted space.
I still donât know what the new design solves, fixes or improves over the old:
At least go back to the larger icon size - the smaller icon with a circle around it really serves no purpose at all. If thereâs a desire to make the âtiny graphic inside a circleâ theme consistent across the interface, please stop. As has been said repeatedly, this isnât a mobile device interface where you need to allow for the imprecise application of a finger - the point of the mouse cursor is a single pixelâŚ
So when do we get to join FW without leaving our corp?
Docking UI sound has been tied to the UI Volume slider which can be found in the Audio tab of the in-game menu (ESC key).
Much better.
Adjusted the size and height of the SKINs cards in the Fitting Window.
Have you really? Wow, by a whopping 30 pixel, but you still leave a boatload of empty, unused space behind and the icons are still smaller than in the past (increased by a whopping 10 pixels!), despite all the empty space around them. Not sure if you really understand the concept of wasted space and efficient use of space to display the most important aspects as prominently as possible. Not entirely sure why you think that black background is the most important aspect of the skins list.
And why was the Clean Ship button moved to the bottom right where there is not a single other UI element nearby, while all the interaction UI elements are on the left? Move the button next to the skins list, where it makes a lot more sense and does not require this ridiculous amount of back and forth mouse movement.
Still WAY too much wasted space on the skins window. Unless weâre missing something and CCP is planning to add more stuff to it itâs just not good enough and a massive waste of real estate and forcing one to scroll way more than needed. itâs not like itâs somehow needed for EVE Anywhere, you could faceroll over your tablet and still select the correct skin.
Make the circle smaller, fill the circle more with the skin stuff, make the window less high and less wide. This isnât difficult CCP.
Any chance we get the option to join FW independent from current corp affiliation? I hope this is not off the table âŚ
Thereâs an awful lot of posts in this thread so I canât imagine Iâm the first to bring this up butâŚ
Ship emblems look absolutely abysmal. Badly placed and weirdly high contrast like they donât belong at all with the other ship textures. Totally regret bothering to get one.
Iâd assumed the space was added to make room for new herarldy stuff coming in the future tbh.
Could you share a couple of examples? I havenât seen many in game, but what you refer to might be because theyâre likely additive effects.
Let us turn the docking banner off Its 110% useless
There dont need to be ANY sound for docking Just remove it !!!
The skin tab is still horribly bad⌠Old one back plz
