It’s not the fact that you can add colours (I’ve used that for ages), but they’ve changed (spaced it out, made it easier to use) the interface for doing it.
Technical:
- Improved the client performance in scenes with a large amount of objects, like during a fleet fight.
GOOD ■■■■■■■ JOKE
24 hours later and my audio bug is still not fixed, even tho is enabled
Why is the drone window now F*****
Is it not bad enough that we have an inferior UI forced upon us ?
What are people doing over there ?
I’ve just read a recent news article The Path To War | EVE Online which says at the very bottom that Guristas “have shifted their focus onto other pressing matters instead of The Hunt this year” so no Egg Hunt this year.
When will LP Tax be updated
Audio:
Fixed unreliable triggering of music in some combat sites.
User Interface:
Fixed an issue where some stacked windows would not open if a character logged off and then logged in again.
Fixed an issue where the Permitted Faction Enlistments under Show Info page for Corporations was sometimes not showing correctly.
Fixed a spelling mistake in the Watch List window.
Quite interesting how these few little fixes required nearly 1GB of patch data download.
wtf is this ??
wtf for do I need market option inside Drone window on top ???
does ANY UI Designer ever actualy play this game ???
3 things belong there:
1] Launch
2]expand
3] mark gruop
rest is totaly invalid unneeded crap
gosh this complete Ui is CRAP ^^
Why would you have changed the UI to make it less intuitive to launch drones while in space? If I am involved in combat, I do not need to “View Market Details”, I need to launch drones.
I suppose I will need to buy more drones once my ship has been destroyed due to poor UI placement of the Launch Drones button.
I have run three Waylaid Courier Sites so far.
The Good: The combat allows for PvP fit ships to participate without problems. I had a shield buffer fit but the light incoming damage and breaks between waves should let active tanked ships keep up.
The Bad: Salvage times are prohibitively long. In the last site, the combat part took me just under 7 minutes but I had to spend 22 minutes salvaging the courier wrecks. I have put Salvaging IV on my skill queue and will give it another shot after it is trained, but I am not going to run the sites under these circumstances. Even half of 20-25 minutes would be too long, especially considering that there is no engaging gameplay to speak of and the PvP opportunity is greatly diminished (in that stage combat probes are likely needed and might land you on the acceleration gate).
I don’t think players should have to make any further sacrifices than the 20 CPU spent on the T1 salvager.
The Ugly: The rat e-war is largely inconsequential for some/most fits but might be denying certain fits or low SP/ISK players from participating.
I just imagined sitting in my Bonkbitze2000 or in a F-22 - klicking AmmoSelect - and the first thing that pops up is NASDAQ Info Screen with the actual Ammo prices ^^
@CCP_Paragon The Patch Notes does not mention the new “View Market Details” and “Buy All” options as the top, highest priority options in the context menu of the Drones window in space.
The Patch Notes should probably also have the icon for player’s suggestions on this change because being able to look at the market for drones and buy drones when starting a fight has always been a request from players, and the CSM has brought that players’ request every year since the creation of the CSM.
Note: this is sarcasm
@CCP_Paragon I tried to make my discontent about the Skilling in the abyss known to the devs in different ways. My issue is the RNG to get the specific NPC waves, especially for T0 abyss. You know, that tier that beginner in the abyss, including beginner in Eve, are most likely to try to complete the daily challenge.
There, the Triglavians (Damavik) seems to be the rarest spawn (one can argue for the Skybreaker, but the Skybreaker and the Pacifier (also encountered in T0) are both in the Concord/Edencom group (if that group was even in the Skilling in the abyss event, which is currently not the case (and I would not want that added on top of that sh*** event))) The Trigs are so rare that I once had to complete 22 T0 runs to complete 10/10. I surely wouldn’t have wanted to get 15 Trigs kill on that day.
Considering getting 15k to 75k SP in a day can be a big deal (especially for lower SP pilots), some players, wheter they dread the abyss or not, may have their play time monopolized by the Skilling in the abyss. Besides some frustration, it takes them away from other content, some they already enjoy, or from, I don’t know, maybe away from something like the The Shipcaster Shadow War factional campaign.
What do you prefer, people making isk in the abyss, or out there battling in the current FW arc ?
Now, for context, I presonnally wanted to complete some Epic Arcs (Amarr and Minmatar) with my newly Omega accounts. Some needs to work on their standings and all that stuff. My Abyss ships are in Caldari space, 40-ish jumps away. I first used what I had at hand, which was Tech 1 frigates (either built locally in Amarr or from the BS frigate bay), and decided to do some T0 on spot in Amarr space. And that is how I got to feel what the newer players had to go through to complete these daily challenge: Hor-ren-dous. I like the Abyss, but on my own term, not “forced” on. Again, don’t focus on me and see the bigger picture: the newer/less skilled players.
Now, for this second round of skilling in the abyss in 2 weeks, I managed to setup some Assault Frigates and decided to multiibox some T1 abyss. Unfortunately, I can’t manage 2 different sites (each character in their own abyss site) very well, so I decided to do dual box abyss sites (send 2 characters in the same abyss site). And this is how I had to feel what 2 friends or corps mates trying to do the Skilling in the abyss together feel like. Unfortunately, unlike PvE combat sites and Security missions done in fleet, where the bounty is paid equally between all the fleet members present on the site, even when only one player killed an NPC, down there in the abyss for the skilling event, the NPC kills are not shared amoung the fleet members, even when all members shot at the NPC. Could be the most dps get the kill, or the final blow, I don’t know. Quite unfortunate for an MMO, don’t you think?
So, after laying down the context, here are some suggestions
- Change the “kill x specifc NPC group” to “kill x NPC” (similar to the regular Skilling Spree). I know you guys LOVE RNG (and I think I know why), but RNG is poop (and I think you know it).
and/or
- Make the kills sharable between fleet members.
AND
- Don’t put these daily challenges when you have an event/story arc going on. I assume you guys worked hard to deliver this update and want as many players as possible participating, and not drawn away for hours in unrelated daily challenges.
In previous event (Empires’ Day, pirate event, etc) the skilling spree was usually off and replaced by either something related to the event (throwing fireworks or snowballs), if not simply replaced by the actuall event with successive/repeating objectives (1. enter a site, 2 kill x NPC, 3 kill the boss) or (1. enter data site, 2 hack) etc.

@CCP_Paragon
Just one question - when is the Bustard going to receive its emblem?
You state in the patch notes that all ships have emblems now, but no emblem is available for the Bustard. Is this an oversight or is something else going on?
When can you fix the character garbled code problem in the Chinese game interface。
This is in regards to the highsec shadow war sites and the suspect timers. These were designed so that players who enter the site will incur a 15 minute suspect timer and can pvp inside without concord getting involved, but people are finding ways to cheese the mechanics, similar to when people used to be able to cheese lvl 4 faction warfare missions by using stealth bombers.
What they do is enter the site, cloak up before the npc’s lock them. Wait inside while other players come in, after 15 minutes the cloaked ships lose suspect timer and can decloak and do stuff like steal the loot or fight a fleet by engaging one target a time while the remaining players in the fleet can only sit and watch. Very annoying, which I’m sure is their intention.
The solution? If the site has already been popped, skip it. Or as the saying goes, if you can’t beat em, join em.
Why not just have the 15 min timer start counting down from when you LEAVE the site as opposed to arrive? You are suspect right from the get go but no expiry till you are done and gone.
m
That won’t work. You can cloak up and wait for 15 minutes inside the site. Today we got a few drops, stole loot right under the noses of people running a site, had some people shoot at us and get concorded, etc.
It’s cheesy as hell, but rather than be a victim, I’m fighting fire with fire.
My recommendation is to put an aoe suspect pulse that goes off every x minutes inside the sites to stop people from cheesing it. Or just leave it as it is because you really have to sit and wait 15 minutes doing nothing while the timer wears off.
Why is view market details the top command in the drone window now?
Why has focus fire and aggressive drones been removed?
Quit breaking things that weren’t broken and did not need touched!
