Version 21.05 - General Feedback

The new mission telltales for completion are awesome. If they could be a little wider as they don’t contrast well with light station backgrounds I’d be a very happy and thankful player.

Thank you!

Regarding the changes to stop the signal sites (hacking homefronts). First they buffed the EHP of the tower. Then they reduced the window of time to DPS the tower. Both of which seem to me as an attempt to stop players like myself from running these sites so fast that we’re making 250 million isk per hour. If that is the goal, rather than increasing the minimum amount of DPS necessary to run these sites quickly, just either put a cap on the amount of DPS the tower can take, or if that’s too complicated, put a gateway where the DPS window ends immediately upon depleting the shields. Then again when depleting the armor. This would break up the dps cycles and force 3 hacking cycles.

If you keep increasing the minimum dps required to run the sites in a single dps cycle, you just force more and more easily accessible fits from being viable on the sites, and also force newbies into being excluded from joining players on these sites.

Also, the payout on homefront sites makes no sense to me.

Why penalize players for running with less than 5 players by paying them less? This makes it harder to get fleets up and started. It’s already harder, and takes longer, to run these sites with less than 5 people. There is no need to make it even worse by dropping the pay even more.

The drop in pay for going over 5 people is too steep. Why is it so steep? Again this negatively impacts the social element of this, because lets say we’ve got 5 people in fleet and there’s 1 or 2 people hanging out waiting for a fleet to form, we are heavily disincentivized to allow even just 1 extra person to join us, because of how negatively it impacts our pay. I think it should pay the same way that factional warfare plexes pay. The same amount for the first 5 people, and then a gradual, proportional drop in pay for each person beyond the first 5. So if you have 10 people instead of 5, you get paid 50% of the ISK rather than what is currently a whopping 87%reduction in pay. Again… why?

If you implemented this change, then if we have 5 people in squad, and 2 people hanging out on comms waiting for more to come, they can either A) join us and bring us up to 7, where we get a proportional drop in pay (earning 71% of 17,136,600 or 12 million) rather than the current 45% amount of pay? or B) 2 people start running sites with just the two of them, getting paid the full 17 million isk each, but the sites are harder and take longer.

A big reason why I suggest this is because people will only wait for so long to have the perfect team of 5 before they get bored and log out to do something else. If you penalize them too much for deviating from 5 people, they obviously won’t even try unless they have exactly 5 people. If you allow them to deviate from 5 people, then more people will be playing EVE, and more importantly, if they actually stick around and play, there’s more opportunity for the next person to come along and join, snowballing the fleet from 6 to 7 to 10 people, creating two separate fleets. I just think this would be better for the social health of the game.

PS. Once again please allow us corp CEO’s to delegate project management to our members with a “Project Management” role, rather than having it tied directly to Director status.

I believe it’s saying -2% damage incoming, basically, which is what resists really do. They’re kinda mislabeled based on how the stats underneath them work.

Yeah.

Also, as a tripleboxer with OCD, the day they shut off the regular dailies (that was 74 straight days of kill 1, 5, or 10 NPCs for 2500, 10k, or 25k free SP from April 1st to June 13th, btw… the longest stretch in years!) was the last day I logged in daily. I’m still getting my gifts from the login screens, but I’d say I’m only actually logging in to my mains or my alts every 4th or 5th day.

As much as dailies get bitched about in games (heard about them way back from WOW players before I even knew about EVE in the mid-00s)… if they’re ones YOU want to do and WANT the rewards from, then they’re worth logging in for at least a few minutes to do. If they’re not rewarding (or too tough to complete), then… they drive people away more than they get them to log in.

This NPC kill / abyssal trig/drifter/drone / ore mining combo stuff… they’d tested it with short 3 or 4 or 5 day periods (for all abyssal or all ore mining) before now, but this random grab bag method appears to be the new permanent dailies, at least during the Viridian era, so… count me out till it’s back to “normal,” kthxplz.

I second this, it’s really damn obstructive and no one asked for this

Yes, trying to get intel on a player in a WH I was stalking whilst cloaked and I invited him to a conversation!!! Whoops. I had to make the current target panel picture bigger so i wouldn’t accidentally click it…

Yep, I hope CCP ll put an option on this, to disable/enable it.

Yes, but it’s a wrong solution. I ve got small panel to have space, and don’t like big icons. And with a bigger panel, miss click is still possible…

The Samanuni ↔ Athounon gate connection has been removed from autopilot routes.

Reason behind this? What if I want to use this as a shortcut?

Dear devs, please separate homefront operations in some different group aside from anomalies in a scanner window

When are we going to be able to preview Paragon ship emblems? Right now, you are buying the cat in the bag and have no way to preview emblems.

You don’t know what your own logos look like?

I want to know where they are and how they look like on the ship, just like I can check Skins before I can buy them. If they are poorly placed or nigh invisible, I don’t need to waste currency on them.

Please stop being lazy with the ship ctrl+c, ctrl+v reskins and actually develop new ship models for new ships.

Fanbois protecting CCPs bad decisions are bad for the game.

The new corp projects are great, but they’re just shy of useful for a lot of stuff.

I am trying to use the “Damage Capsuleers” contribution method to incentivise corp mates to defend a particular system. I can track how much damage they do and pay out at the project completion per point of damage. I want the project to be for damage done to anyone except our own corp mates. This doesn’t currently seem to be possibly, making the mechanism effectively useless for my purposes.

Ideally I would like to damage only to be calculated based on damage to non-corp blues.

latest patch:

Adjusted Orca traits slightly to be more consistent.

such as?

Probably adjusted to make it more consistently useless…

Maybe CCP added a custom cargo hold to it so @Iceacid_Frostpacker can store frozen corpses in it. :upside_down_face:

This means that if you deliberately use a filament in System A during cluster shutdown to create a warp tunnel kick-out

Wait, what? So if i’d got disconnected in the abyss i’d be 99% dead, but at the same time there were a nicely caring and handful kick-out system for those who don’t care about daily DT? Is that really EvE?
wowcoala

@CCP_Paragon Btw i don’t care about that jump exploit, but is that right that going into the abyss in ~18 minutes before DT is an approved official way to avoid death by timer?
