Just noticed you removed mission journal. Please bring it back !
QA team went on holiday I assume. Because the new menus are broken as all hell.
There should be a reward for contributing to corp projects and incentivize members to participate. This can also be a way to pay members for contributing to the delivery projects in lieu of contracts.
Bug?: After I undock, my client freezes for several seconds.
I think those Homefront sites are really fun to fly. They are accessible because there is plenty and while you can do them with 4 Logi ships itâs still much fun with a bigger fleet. Especially if you donât run too much Logi ^^
We tested only the Clan Defense and the Dread site yet but people really liked it. So much that our fleet grew too big ^^ We started with 2 Scythe + 2 Bellicose and more and more joined and the fights were really cool until we figured out Ospreys exist
The site with the industrial and the mining sites were not tested yet
Imagine some sort of almost identical server to EVE, where some players could beta-test some new stuff, break it and report oddities in some kind of bug reporting system that could be sorted by a team of game masters, who order the bug reports by relevant or not relevant to the developers.
It could make patch-days much less of a pain if you âcloud-sourcedâ the amount of eyes looking over the new things, and imagine we could a delivery date with quite a few less things to be fixed somedayâ˘.
This isnât going to get people excited to contribute. End it with an exclamation mark at least. And it should probably say âCorp Projectâ
Just re-iterating what others have said: By not being able to specify multiple items for a Project, their usefulness is extremely limited
For the Corporation Projects⌠It seems the âCareer Pathâ is not tied to the Air Career Program.
- The Air Career Program doesnât have an Unclassified career path
- Completing an Industrialist project didnât have any affect on my progress
While Corporation Projects have great potential, itâs also lacking.
There are no carrots or sticks. At a minimum, there should be some incentives for players to contribute to the projects. As it stands now, itâs counting on the altruism of corporation members.
It could be tied to the Air Career Program. Allowing corp members make regular progress in the AIR Career Program.
Or it could be a system similar to the AIR Career Program. Allowing the Corporation to define the rewards, even providing the Corporation with a monthly allotment of skill points that could be distributed based on progress.
Please add Corporation projects to the Agency somewhere so I can bookmark it. Alternatively itâs own window i can pin to the side bar under social next to corporation would be great!
For the Homefront Operationâs it would be nice if the allowed ship classes were known in advance.
At the gates it would be nice if not every single possible ship (results in a long, clear list at the moment), but only the allowed ship classes would be listed.
For the Corporation projects, it would be nice if it was also usable in the wormhole. A good start would be to be able to add WH systems.
Maybe you can also add a project based on standing (or no standing) later; e.g. shoot down other neutral pilots and/or pilots with negative corporation standing/alliance standing in system J123456.
When you open the Industry window, you get your production, science and reaction jobs shown as X/Y as it was before Viridian.
Once you click a blueprint or job, that display jumps to show only the type of activity you chose for the blueprint/type of job.
To get the general overview shown again, you need to close and reopen the industry window. This is quite annoying, please revert this so we can always see how many jobs are left for any activity
Players:
Look into Journal to efficiently look at your missions, you can even leave it open while you play as it doesnt obstruct all your screen
CCP:
We have a better and improved interface to look at your missions and see much more exciting content, too. It even covers most of your screen so you can concentrate on all the stuff while being killed by rats
Hint: The rel\evant portion to what the player actually wants is at the bottom from left to right, not from top to botton.
General feedback ?
Unfinished business, missing key features and functions, as per usual.
The gfx updates are great, as per usual.
What I like in this expansion:
- Missile explosions. They are unexpectedly entertaining, informative and donât overload scene rendering. A good addition to the standard combat log.
- Large Railgun buffs.
- New graphic changes and those volumetric clouds. Previous clouds were a source of great fps lags at random locations. IDK what you did with Shaders, but their performance is way better. The game runs smoother at low and high graphical quality (Is there more DirectX11 than DirectX12?).
- Free 7 days Omega. So, everyone can check these new Viridian features.
What I donât like in this expansion:
-
The way how some things were nerfed. Actually some things become completely destroyed while other things arenât actually nerfed (as is required), but become more annoying to use.
-
UI concept. It doesnât stand up to scrutiny:
-
- Looks like the design was developed on a space station
- Looks like the design was developed on a space station
-
- The UI should be handled with bare hands (nor mouse arrow, nor fingers)

-
- You must perform some acrobatic movements with your head to just look at a progress bar

Definitely a mess. Journal was compact, easy to use and overview. I think moving the R&D agents from journal to industry was an unnecessary but okay decision. The removal of the journal in general and this horrible opportunities window on the other side⌠well, no.
CCP seems to move away from compact windows that just display important information using minimal space to oversized icons and UI elements that clutter your screen. They did the same back then with the industry window, where the materials and images now take half the screen. But, joy joy, you have in return a pretty oversized picture of your blueprint now, and an oversized 3D image of your outcome product⌠you can even spin it!
CCP: we need compact display of important information, not clutter like you implement for quite a while now.
This would be a great feature if youâve been invisible to other players as well not just yourself.
This has been the case since CCP introduced the new Industry window. You always had to close the Indu window to see the overview of all slots again. It would indeed be very cool if CCP used more of that empty space in the separator to display this information.
What would also be nice is actually accurate Control Range information. 20 jumps in the industry window are not 20 jumps in real distance. It does not take jump bridges into account and even if you turn those off for consideration in a route, the distance still does not match. I have to use Dotlan to get the actual number of jumps between where I am and where my BPs are, and I have to use the Dotlan gate route to get in actual range of my indu facility. This is very inconvenient, to say the least.
You should be playing on your building size home theater projector screen. #nopoors
