As an old-timer wormhole resident, but not for many years now, Sleepers were always problematic with drones because Sleepers prioritize based upon threat level. Hence frigates were more likely to attack medium and larger drones.
Some things really peeve Sleepers (or used to) like target painters.
New global PLEX market is laggy. Even reloading the page takes seconds.

EVE launcher crashing randomly by becoming a black screen.
Also randomly disconnecting 1 of several accounts, obviously not an internet issue as one of them stays online and other services are online outside the game.
Every time one characters disconnects, Eve Launcher is black and unresponsive.
Unannounced 1.9 GB and 1.65GB patches. Neat. At least, the connection to the DL server only started to crash after 1.8 GB. Something is really, really broken with CCPâs download servers. It starts out with the to be expected 10 MiB for me, but at some point it dies and goes down to 2 MiB.

I agree Denyial, I have not played in ten years, but even when I played years prior to that things were better. Then I left as they went downhill. Then about ten years ago I tried playing again⌠got about a month or two of it before the valley they were in wore off. Itâs all been downhill since⌠And now⌠I came back from having the itch and itâs even WORSE.

And vanguard/frontier is absolutely a non starter. That, from what I read and saw, looks about 4 orders of magnitude worse tbh. And the fact they are now going to be spending most of their time or money on that instead of Eve, I think eve is done for tbh. Itll trickle away like most others.

Just like with other games, when something gets updated, the entire thing related to it needs to be redownloaded. BG3 had 10-20 GB downloads for fixing a single monsterâs vfx (I would use a more recent game but I donât play many new games). Itâs not just CCP that does this, most games do. Most of it is just file verification essentially.
Looks like in this case itâs a bunch of pre-download for this weekâs event though.
If itâs just for the freelance garbage maybe CCP need to wake up to the fact that Freelance was DOA
If that is the case, many other games tell the players in the patch notes that stuff like this is being downloaded in advance.
CCP also knows that https://www.hoboleaks.space/ exists and they purposely hide things lore related only to change stuff once itâs âonlineâ. They donât want us to know until after the event starts. As of this last patch there was almost 3100 changed files, mostly audio.
I am not expecting them to spill the beans on everything but if they âpre-downloadâ nearly 4GB of data, they should mention something along those lines in the patch notes. Thatâs the point of Patch Notes.
As you point out Hoboleaks, people will figure out anyway, thus secrecy canât be a motivation here. If that was the case, CCP would be the worst possible handler of secrets. âHey, here are 4GB of officially undocumented data on the official server and EVERYONE sees us downloading this data. No one would ever check some arcane trackers and then try to see whatâs in these files.â

I searched everywhere and in every description I could find and there is no mention either in the forums or in game of âColor-Shiftingâ anything. Is this something to be gifted in the Solar crates we have yet to be able to collect?

SKINR is still waaaaaaaay too expensive for any practical use like corp branding every single hull, since you canât just make generic colors/patterns to apply to all hulls. And no, the âcorporate color themesâ arenât what I was talking about, why should corp members have to pay that kind of ISK/PLEX just to use the corp colors? Why canât corps have a generic color/pattern SKIN that can be applied to any hull the corp members want for Evermarks? Let the corp itself take the ISK/PLEX hit.
I read about the ââcolor-shifting nanocoatingsââ on the official blog on eveonline.com page. No mention of the name of the coating or whether itâs a metallic coating or some other type. And then they could have had that block chain link and allow all of their games to work together better, ALA Ready player 1⌠Esp if they did it right and could license it, or start a seperate thing that uses it, but for other games⌠that you can âsyncâ certain things, or items maybe etc. So if you have progress in Eve, or vanguard, or CSGO, or what ever new game on the chain you could use say, XP boosters (the ceberal booster from eve) right in that new game, to get attribute bonuses⌠you know.
That is how they COULD have done that blockchain, and I DO think that will be the next thing along with AI in gaming, but they sorta jumped the gun following the same old same old, and may even kill off block chain games a bit more than they wanted lol.
