Version 23.01 - Legion - General Feedback

Where do I even find them? My Opportunity window has them enabled but I do not see a category for them.

Extremely intuitive to not show this category by default, but only when you are in range of a job.

I’m thinking that there were no Freelance projects offered within 5 jumps of your current location? I was near Jita when I looked and found a bunch.

Great UI.

That’s apprently the case, but I find it highly unintuitive that this section is not always visible and just tells me that nothing is available in range.

It might be a good idea to adjust the material inputs on the Babaroga a bit. Of course, the price of Metaprismatic Armor Plates and Repelling Shield Emitters have skyrocketed in the last 48 hours (by an average of 2.5k each to more than 250,000k each!), but since the BPOs for these are cheap and readily available, not to mention relatively easy to make, I anticipate the markets will be flooded with them in the next few days which will normalise the price pretty rapidly.

Trig salvage, on the other hand, is a different matter. Please consider halving the 6666x input need for Trinary State and Zero-Point salvage (to a still-pleasing divisible of three of 3333). Trig salvage is much harder to come by, very limited in supply, and at current Babaroga input costs, almost impossible to get hold of at anything close to a reasonable price. And that state of affairs imply will not change as is; the demand will far outstrip supply. If you want to see Baba’s explode, then they need to be reasonably priced (though still expensive even by Marauder standards) enough for people, other than the super space-rich to be willing to risk undocking them.

So much for a reasonably priced Triglavian marauder. It’s currently on-track to sell for twice what a Marshall goes for…

It is, it has to look good on zKillboard.

I agree - the Freelance section should always be available (viewable) and at least indicate that there are no Freelance jobs within range.

They basically cookie-cutter’d the existing corps projects but gave zero thought to how this would actually work in a public environment.

Even null-sec is roasting Freelance projects over on Reddit (so that speaks volumes).

Really? Over 1.0GB of updates today? The original expansion was only 1.08GB…

“Purpose Is Power”. What purpose is that exactly? It certainly isn’t the new Freelance projects…

Next oversight with Freelance Jobs: When you link them, nothing indicates clearly and easily visible that they are Freelance jobs. Links should show up either in a dedicated color or should have the “Freelance Job” prefix before the job title. Hypernet Offers do that already and it at least helps a little bit to see them and not mistake them for something else.

You are around long enough that you should know that new stuff always is ridiculously overpriced right after a new expansion update. Give it 3-6 months and you will have the “normal” market price.

15+ billion ISK out-of-the-gate is just ridonkulous.

See Cenotaph prices. The first ones also sold for double-digit billions. They now have arrived at the pricetag of a BlackOps. Just give it time, so people can optimize the production process and undercut each other on the market.

The sticking point with the Triglavian marauder is the Triglavian salvage component. It’s all good - you can manufacture some of the components yourself at 1/3 to 1/2 the cost that some are currently selling for.

I should be able to build one for about 10% over the (real) estimated cost of around 7.6 billion ISK. A far cry from the 25 billion ISK buy price at Jita, although I guess I could always sell it and build another one…

Why is there no Patch Notes for the random middle of the day 140MB patch?

It’s not gonna happen if the material requirements for ZPFM and TSP remain what they are. Those are bottlenecks. Supply for those won’t increase much unless CCP increases their salvage rate in the game. So, either Babaroga material input will need to be reduced, or Trig salvage rate increased, that’s the only way this happens, and both are at CCP’s discretion.

I’m happy even if this hull stays within 15-30b range. If its damage output is going to be what I saw someone post (5k sieged), then its price should be much much higher than a ‘regular’ marauder’s.

hmm, don’t you think that if the demand is so high now, more people will professionalize in farming those resources? Dunno, I have never done it.

You’re talking about a lot of new players venturing into the abyss. It’s certainly going to make abyssal salvage a lot more profitable in the near future, though.

The Zero-Point components alone jumped over 25% today… It’s not just the price of the two Triglavian salvage components - but that you need 6600 of each.

I was able to get my first Babaroga underway for just under 8.5 billion ISK, and I’ll probably hang onto it until I see where the Triglavian salvage is going. I mean, there’s already a buy order at 25 billion ISK…

I priced out the rough cost of the Babaroga prior to all this insanity and wasn’t coming anywhere close to the 3-4 billion ISK most were expecting. 6 billion ISK and change is probably the cheapest you’ll be able to build one for under “normal” conditions.

You don’t get Sleeper Salvage from the Abyss… just sayin’

You need to hunt Trig Fleets in HS/LS/JSpace/Pochven.

That probably will happen, and the prices will come down a bit. But the quantities required for the Trig Marauder are quite high. You need at least a 4-fold increase in the supply of ZPFM and TSP to satisfy the demand set by regular Marauders (and the demand for Babaroga will in all likelihood be higher than for those). And at some point it will balance itself, if the prices come down too much, it’s no longer worth the extra effort.

But it is wait and see at the moment. For the summer, this hull is going to be extraordinarily expensive, it looks.

If I were a guessing man, I’d say at some point CCP will just increase the Trig salvage rate. To me, that seems most sensible. Still highly unlikely you will ever get this ship for 2-4b.

I tend to agree. Barring a change in the amount of salvage this is going to be a 6+ billion ISK ship (or much, much more) for the foreseeable future.

These things are going to be absolute beasts in terms of tank, as you’ll be able to get away with 2 damage modules. That leaves room for a pair of EANMs, RAH, DC and a pair of 1600mm plates (possibly three if you drop the RAH or DC).

And the EANMs have ~11% more total resistances now as well. Add a pair of trimark rigs and we’re off to the races…!
