Can no longer copy character names from “Show information” window.
Right clicking only gives window options.

Is the crit intended to be a separate effect? I mean i have two lasers, and when i crit i get a 3rd yield. This makes the crit more than 200%

I think perhaps that the new “Epic” arc should have instead been a 6th Career Agent.
Industrialist - Resource Gathering.
You can then remove all the mining stuff from the Producer and Entrepreneur Careers and re-work them to be more laser focused on manufacturing and market, respectively.
The ORE arc already functions almost exactly like a Career Agent, providing a semi-tutorial on mining mechanics as well as granting a skill book and a ship.
I feel bad for brand new Amarr or Minmatar players who have to go all the way to Kisogo just for three missions then have to go all the way home again.
Being a Career Agent would spread them out much more, making the arc more accessible and preventing the hideous congestion and site conflicts we’ve been seeing since the arc was added.
Also, making it a career agent would mean no repeats on the same character (well all right, 12 repeats but no more than that) and not a constant re-run every 90 days for the rest of time.

Sure, and give us a L5 mining agent. In 4C of course.

I can understand the inclination toward “efficiency” when it comes to industrial elements of a game like EVE, but I’m a bit sad to see the new naming scheme for ores trend more toward “technical” over “aspirational”. For example, it’s hard for me to imagine a new player (or myself, not-so-new player) feeling more excited to see on their overview:

25_64_1 23_64_9 23_64_5

asteroidlargeGneiss III-Grade asteroidlargeHedbergite III-Grade asteroidlargeArkonor III-Grade
asteroidlargeGneiss IV-Grade asteroidlargeHedbergite IV-Grade asteroidlargeArkonor IV-Grade

in comparison to discovering, learning, and internalizing the meaning & value of:

25_64_1 23_64_9 23_64_5

I would think that the majority of enterprising players mining out in the field would relate more satisfactorily to a prospector—with all the lingo and culture and romantic aspirationalism attached to the profession, classically—than to a lab tech grading samples in a cleanroom; And surely the industrious explorers who ventured out into deep space and discovered these more valuable varieties over the centuries would’ve pridefully coined these ores’ original names with the same energy.

Having to come into and absorb a believably longstanding culture of whatever profession one chooses to devote themselves to is, for me, a big part of what makes EVE feel “real” both in lore and gameplay. Loving the expansion and, again, understanding the rationale, but I’m genuinely quite saddened to see this particular bit of color and immersion bleached out of the game.

The ore name issue gets even deeper when you consider that you also removed names only introduced with the Equinox expansion, i.e. only last year.

Ores that you haven’t even let the majority of miners in Eve discover yet because you lock them away in nullsec - ores like Foggy Ueganite, Serrated Hezorime, Intoxicating Nocxite, Inky Griemeer.

If you “grade” them, you may just as well call Scordite “Pyerite-110” or Ytirium “Isogen-240”. And no, that is not a suggestion. That’d be like calling a Hideaway “Gurista-8”. Or a pvp site for 5 pilots in small ships a “Small-5” … oh wait. See now, that’s the kind of level you’re dragging us down to.

For every one person that doesn’t like the new ore names (Grade X etc) there are 2 or more that prefer it. So you made the right move.

Don’t cave in to the lore bores.

Personally, I don’t give two sh*ts what they name the ores because I just wipe out the entire belt and don’t nitpick rocks…

Getting over my previous comment, I do on the other hand enjoy seeing the choice of formatting for II/III/IV-Grade allowing variants to sort in order of value alphabetically  That said, as compressed ores’ names get cut off in the inventory window, I feel like it’d be useful to add tags for higher grades to their icons – either as part of them directly, or as a layered icon on the top right like we have for ships nowadays. Something like this:

Compressed should just come after

For example

Gneiss III-Grade Compressed

Or just remove the grade variants they make everything more conplicated. Freelance jobs, buy orders, overview and inventory. Sadge

Mining Survey Chipset (whatever it was called before) I use to put one on a covops ship, scout anoms, asteroid belts, bookmark warpins and survey asteroids.

Now it only works on a mining ship. Killed a lot of functionality, and passive isn’t moving the scan button to another button you have to right click to open. It’s just relocating the functionality of the original module.

Not a good design. Use to work on any ship.

The sound I hear when digging is annoying. The new patch added an annoying sound, like I’m grinding rocks. This sound wasn’t there before. Please remove this unnecessary sound.

I think the orca should be given a 7th high slot and have the additional bonus of “+1 command burst when 3 Mining Foreman Burst I/II are used” which would allow an orca to run 4 mining command bursts (since you guys just introduced a new one) without a rig. Or they can use the rig, run 4 mining brusts, 1 shield burst, an industrial core, a compressor, and still have a utlity high. In the past an orca could run all mining bursts without using rigs, which was a nice advantage over the prop.

When right click the name (Mining Survey Chipset II in the screenshot) in show info window (note: not the title of the window, but, the smaller text next to the icon), you used to be able to select Copy to copy the name of the item (Mining Survey Chipset II). That option is no longer available, which is really frustrating, as I used it multiple times a day.

I did a mining mission for the daily loyalty points. I was tasked to mine 5,000 rocks. Once I completed the mission, I had around 500 extra rocks due to the critical hits!

I’ve had a few like that, I just leave it all in the station where the mission agent is.

What’s the point of the mining hold indicator floating around my ship?

If e.g. someone is in a fleet broadcasting “align to gate X" the shortcut “a+click “is barely locking onto that broadcast.

Optional behavior of Ship / Notification:

  • lately sometimes the ship does not react at all.
  • the ship is aligning, but the ‘Aligning” Information on top of the capacitor is not showing at all
  • the ship is aligning, but the ‘Aligning informaiton shows “to a spot in space” and vanishes shortly after again
  • very barely it is working as intended and shows “Aligning to Gate X”.

I tested:

  • a+ 1x click
  • a+ 1x double click → no different behavior than A+1click
  • a+ 2 single clicks → works slightly better but not with 100% accuracy either

Current Workaround:

  • Right Click and select align, but that is also sometimes not working correctly.

This is what I see on my window setup on every belt warp in. The ratting is real.
